Just to keep this short, I'm looking for some gals that would hopefully help me with the revival of the contest because it was really bad for her..

OSF PROD TEAM, ASSEMBLE!
After some time since the applications opened, I believe it's now time to announce the Oceanian Song Festival production team!!!
It is my honor to proudly announce that will be making the team!
I am absolutely looking forward to working with them to make the best editions possible.
In case someone still wants to apply for the OSF prod team, the form will be left open for everyone.
We still have many things to discuss before we start the third edition so expect more announcements to come. In the meantime, check out this sickening wiki created by legend Wys. Thank you so much!

So.
How do I start?
As you can see, it's been quite a while since I last posted an announcement on this board.
To be exact, 1 year, 3 months, and 10 days; and 2 years, 3 months, and 11 days since the end of the second edition.
First of all, I would just like to apologize to all the participants and the prod team for leaving all of you hanging for so long.
For the past few months, I've been very busy with moving to another place, school, and to be honest, I've kinda lost the motivation to host this contest for a while. However, recently I have gotten this motivation back.
Which means I have plans on resurrecting this contest, again.
So, here are a few announcements I would like to make regarding the reboot of this contest.
#1. PROD TEAM AND THE FUTURE OF THE CONTEST
With Wys having left the OSF production team, I would like to once again call on people who might like to help out, especially on verifying entries.
Initially, there were bigger plans being made for the future of the contest, especially on categorizing the states based on leniency in verifying the entries. However, I have decided to not go through with this plan for now.
Instead, we will stick with the original rules guide regarding acts and entries; maybe with exceptions for some states.
Also, as I might not be able to have the time nor the right "equipment" to create quality recaps as fast as possible, I'd like to know if anyone is interested in editing recap/results videos. However, I've already planned an alternative regarding this field.
For the alternative, instead of a format with recap and results videos, we may do the voting and results in the format of the likes of Random Year Song Contest (RYSC) and SCF Fantasy Song Contest inspired by Digital Spy Fantasy Eurovision (SCFFSCIBDSFE). I'm also going to propose in holding full listening sessions on Cytube as well.
If you would like to help, you can just send me a DM wherever you can find me (preferably in the Forums or Discord).
#2. INDONESIA
Two years ago, I announced that  Indonesia will be allowed to debut in OSF. A couple people or so maybe thought this could mean only the regions that are geographically/culturally related to Oceania will participate but under the name Indonesia. However, I announced Indonesia's participation with the thought of having the entire country participating, as I had also announced at the time that a draw would be held for it.
With that being said, I created this contest because I wanted to help in showcasing the culture and musical talents of artists originating in Oceania (the Galรกpagos, East Timor, Christmas Island, and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands as well), as most of these countries aren't usually "visible" in song contests outside of like, OASC. Plus with big industries like  Australia and  New Zealand already in the game, it would be a shame to put most of the states here at a disadvantage by introducing yet another strong industry, especially when most of the country is barely related to Oceania (afaik). So, I decided to make some changes with Indonesia's participation.
Instead of having the entire country participating, we are going to start small as we welcome to the contest the region of... WESTERN NEW GUINEA(aka West Papua) This decision is made as Western New Guinea is considered a part of Melanesia and the Australian continent, with its people having significant cultural similarities with the people of  Papua New Guinea. There's been a discussion on having West Papua and a couple more Indonesian regions participating in the contest before. But, it's decided to have West Papua participate first since it pretty much has the strongest connection to Oceania among these regions. Aside from that, it is still unsure how these other regions are going to be presented in the contest, whether it be seperately or together under the name "Indonesia".
#3. CONFIRMATION THREAD
As you can guess, the confirmations for the next edition is planned to open very soon.
However, I would like to know first if the people tagged in this post are still interested in participating in the contest and would still like to be tagged for future posts. This way, I can list out the free states all at once and if ever, I will no longer bombard your notifications with annoying tags. :oop:

I apologize if things are looking a little messy now with how I'm handling this contest. But, I do hope that as time goes by, and as the contest gets more and more improved, OSF will finally be able to have a fully realized format.

CHRISTMAS ANNOUNCEMENT Merry Christmas, OSFnators! xx
To celebrate this festive event, I have decided to test out this new phase of the confirmations that has been planned for a while now.
Welcome to the stealing phase.
How does this stealing process work?
When a HoD doesn't confirm their intentions or send an entry by the deadline, the user will lose their state.
These states will then become free, and will therefore be up for stealing, to which whoever is the first one to steal the state will be granted it.
This process should last for usually a day. Every user in the Song Contest Forums is welcome to join.
However, for "stronger" states like Australia and New Zealand, certain conditions will be put on these states that may limit which users will be allowed to steal them.
If an HoD has decided to steal a state during the stealing period, their previous state will also be up for stealing.
The stealing period for this edition will start at 18:00 CET today, so hold your horses for a bit queens x
But in case you're wondering, here are the states that will be free to steal for everyone this edition:
 Cook Islands
 French Polynesia
 Guam
New Zealand and  Samoa will also be up for stealing. However, as these two are some of the more favored states to claim in the contest, we have decided to make some conditions on which users will be able to steal these states.
In order to be able to steal New Zealand and Samoa, you must either:
โข have sent an eligible entry in at least one of the first two editions of OSF
โข have voted in at least one of the first two editions of OSF
โข have confirmed your participation in  OSF #3
Again!! The stealing period starts at 18:00 CET today.
The thread for OSF #3 shall be locked until the stealing period starts.
