The Libya Radio and Television (LRT) has confirmed 
Libya's presence at the Own Africavision Song Contest 8 in 
Seychelles. Despite 
Aya getting a rather average eighteenth place in 
Antananarivo, this doesn't stop the broadcaster in continue participating with the objective of keeping the successful streak of results achieved throughout the seven editions.
“Although the final outcome last edition wasn't what we originally expected, it's still an opportunity for the delegation to move on and see what else could be improved. Our main goal for the next edition is to find another song that embodies the values of the contest and is capable of taking us to the top of the scoreboard, but we shall see when we later listen to the suggestions.”

Following last edition's final broadcast, LRT has launched the submissions for the eighth Libyan entry which is open for all local and diasporic artists. Submissions will close today and as in previous editions, the selection will be done internally by a professional jury composed of broadcaster and government officials, with the revelation to occur around the end of January.
