Ten artists had performed in Kaysone Phomvihane, with the results announced by Alexandra Bounxouei, Ana Tajikistania and Natalia Wangmo Gordienko, we can now introduce you to our next representative who is going to be …
Window
Window, one of next Laotian representatives in OASC
Sonephithak Luangsouvannavong or with his stage name Window is a Laotian disc jockey, music producer and programmer. They will be granted a rightful opportunity to represent Window’s homeland in the Own Asiavision stage in Dushanbe where they will heat up the stage with their song ...
“Ambak (ᜀᜋ᜔ᜊᜃ᜔)” Laos in Own Asiavision Song Contest 28
Timeslot: 0:16+
『 Written and composed by Jenil Aspiras, Richard R. Webb and Sonephithak Luangsouvannavong 』
« Ambak (ᜀᜋ᜔ᜊᜃ᜔) » is a Cebuano word for “Jump”. This song is all about the excitement and power. Ambak-ing is a form of locomotion or movement in which an organism or non-living mechanical system propels itself through the air along a ballistic trajectory. Jumping can be distinguished from running, galloping and other gaits where the entire body is temporarily airborne, by the relatively long duration of the aerial phase and high angle of initial launch. The music gives such a hot temper and raises an adrenaline level within our body by the feel of tropical Southeast Asian forests.
* Votes from non-participants were combined as ASEAN’s vote Detail voting of international juries in Regarde:Lao 4
Ambak won the second edition of Regarde:Lao 4 with the amount of 98 points, beating the second place Lisa Riza by 18 points. Window and co. received the highest scores from seven of out ten international juries: ASEAN, Australian, Bhutanese, Bruneian, Burmese, Niuean and Tongan juries. The Lao delegation would like to thank the aforementioned international juries and also the ones from New Caledonian, Samoan and Syrian delegations for kindly joining our international jury panel. Merci beaucoup!
We wish every participating country and our Window, Jenil and Richie to do amaizng in Dushanbe. Bon courage! Lao National Television • LNTV Official representative Lao broadcaster in Own Asiavision

The host entry! It's that time of the edition again - the Tajik entry has finally been selected!
After a internal selection process which included native acts and diaspora, the host country has come to a decision. While it's not the best we can do, we are just keeping our best for future editions. Wouldn't you?
There has been radio silence in the country for the past few weeks, though work has been done with regards to the upcoming edition. The Tajik broadcaster has been working closely with the OABU in ensuring that we will have one of the best editions ever in our glorious nation. This included rejecting Natalitsa Gordienko, who the Tajik delegation was fully against participating for Bhutan stating that:
While she is iconic, has she ever even heard of Bhutan before being messaged? Bhutan is very obscure.
While the Tajik delegation welcomed Bhutan and wants them to participate, they did not support this entrant simply because of her lack of Bhutanese roots.
Anyways, back to the host entry. Zakiya will represent her country with the song Ma'lum nest which is sung in Tajik. She released it on December 30th 2019 and labelled it as a 2020 song because why not. Even 2 years on, she still kinda slaps. The decision to have a song in the Tajik language really boiled down to the fact that as the contest will be held in Tajikistan, it would be weird not to. Take a listen to the host nation's entry below!timeslot: 1:01-
We wish the best of luck to Zakiya in Tajikistan! Don't come last!
