Majid Jordan to hopefully keep our qualification streak!!نتمنى أن يحافظ ماجد جوردان على خط التصفيات After many rumors had suggested the male duo Majid Jordan as highly possible representatives for Own Asiavision Song Contest #28, we can confirm that, in fact, Bahraini broadcaster BRTC officially confirmed these claims to be true some days ago. We're finally here to show the OASC community their song. "Waves Of Blue" is our next entry The Bahraini-Canadian duo Majid Jordan was formed in 2011 by Jordan Ullman (a producer, originally from Toronto) and Majid Al Maskati, the Bahraini member of the couple. They met at Majid's birthday party at a bar in Toronto and started to collaborate and produce their first tracks together in Jordan's dorm room first and then in his parents' basement. Their first single, "Hold Tight", was released anonymously on SoundCloud the day after they met. Their first EP, "Afterhours", was also launched on SoundCloud, before they signed to the OVO Sound record label. Over the years, their popularity grew exponentially as they kept releasing unforgettable works of art, including "Superstar", "Stars Align" (featuring Drake), "Been Through That", "Caught Up" (featuring Khalid) "Phases", "Small Talk" and "King City".
Majid Jordan • Waves Of Blue Majid Jordan will be singing "Waves of Blue" on the Tajik stage in Dushanbe, a song they released on 24 June 2021. Huge thanks to holidayyyyyyy for helping me choosing this song specifically. and to basil for making me win yup yup it's trew

History of Bahrain in Own Asiavision Song Contest The small Gulf country debuted in the fourteenth edition, hosted in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, and was welcomed with a dead last placement in its semifinal, brought by Ala Ghawas and his Veteran, followed by another non-qualification in Palestine. The country then returned in #17 and achieved its first qualification, thanks to Ahllam and her bop Nafas. Ahllam would later return under Bahrain's current, at the time new, delegation, in Laos, and achieve the country's second and last qualification to date, with her Persian banger Sheytoon. Unfortunately the country hasn't been able to qualify since then, with the most successful result being a 13th place in its semifinal in #21. Last edition, Assala managed to qualify from the Quarter Final, but scored a 14th place in her semi, luckily escaping this edition's QF. Hanan Redha represented the country in Taiwan in edition #25, with her song "Shafti Ana", which unfortunately ended up 17th in her semifinal, thus forcing Assala to return the following edition in yet another Quarter-final. To the surprise of many, Assala manage to qualify from both the Quarter-final and her semifinal, ultimately finishing 6th overall and giving Bahrain its first automatic qualification. The following edition, Bahraini band Rooftop and soloist Esraa Jay represented their country in the Fijian final with their hit "Change", scoring a last place overall with just 25 points. Majid Jordan will represent Bahrain in Dushanbe with their song "Waves of Blue", we wish best of luck to all the participants and to them!

BANGLADESH GOES INTERNATIONAL AGAIN!
Dhaka, 7 November 2021 - After the absolute clownery going on within BTV trying to hype up a national selection that's not happening anyway, we have decided to finally announce our entry!
First the United States, then England, and now... Sweden!
For the upcoming Own Asiavision Song Contest 28, the South Asian country will be represented by Södra Station!
Södra Station is a Swedish pop group from Stockholm consisting of Nirob Islam, Fredrik Danielson, and Sara Hjellström (better known as SHY Martin). They met in 2014 at the Musikmakarna, a music-oriented polytechnic school in Örnsköldsvik.
They will be performing their debut single "5000 Volt" in Tajikistan. The song will be performed in Swedish, supposedly making its first appearance in the contest's history.
"On the first single "5000 Volt", we hear a sober sound, unison song and lyrics that deal with the love and grief between two people, as well as all the highs and lows of youth."
