 EMA Freš consists of participants that are under 30 and haven't released more than 3 singles.
EMA Freš is underway starting this week. We will be voting online based on one minute snippet of a demo version of the song. It will consist of 4 duels per week. On Saturdays the 4 winners will battle it out together. The voting lasts for 12h between 8am and 8pm CET on RTVSLO's website.  The top 3 will qualify to the live shows while the remaining 5 will move to the 4 th week - Second Chance. In the Second Chance there will be 5 battles of 3. One winner of each battle will qualify to the live shows.  The duels were decided based on the jury ranking and then paired the highest ranked with the lowest, second highest with the second lowest and so on.
If some technical issue occurs, the jury votes will decide. This is also the case in a tie.
There will be two live shows with 7 acts each from which 2 will qualify from each semi - one thanks to the televote and one thanks to the jury. The 4 acts will then perform in EMA along with the 16 "established" acts. The hosts are rapper Arne, singer Eva Boto, and Bojan Cvjetićanin from the band Joker Out. |

EMA 2022
The participants have been announced. Now for the fun part. The procedure of EMA 2022.
The live shows will be underway on the first 3 weekends of February. There will be 10 acts in each semi-final. 8 EMA participants + 2 EMA freš finalists.
6 acts will qualify from each semi. The voting will be 50:50 between the televote and jury vote.
The 12 acts will then face off in the final. |

EMA Freš update after the 3rd online voting week.
We got the first 9 winners that already got the ticket for the live shows.
 Green marked have won the duel. Lighter green has lost the 4-way-battle on the weekend.Next week all the participants who haven't qualified for the live shows yet will have a second chance.
There will be 5 3-way-battles from Monday to Friday. The winner of each day will qualify for the live shows. |
