Dyflinnjaborg • 25th June 2021 DRTV, the Dýrian broadcaster, has just revealed the entry that will represent Dýria in the 27th edition of the Fantasia Contest, to be held in Glacea.
The lucky act chosen will represent the nation in the grand final, as Dýria is automatically qualified there thanks to CL's 5th place in the previous edition.
The act that was chosen has been rumoured to return to the contest for quite some time now. Every edition since the 20th edition, there have been some rumours about this certain singer returning to the contest, and for good reason - as she was almost chosen at least twice recently. However, we're sure you know who this is, so let's not delay this announcement any further. Please give a warm welcome back to...TOVE LO! (No, I'm not joking)  Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson, known professionally as Tove Lo, is a Dýrian singer who was born in Turland. She moved to Dýria shortly after her birth, as her parents felt there would be more opportunities in Dýria than in Turland. Since starting her career, she has become very popular within the country, with all of her albums reaching the top of the charts upon their release. The singer has also snatched a few number one hits, one of them being disco tits, which managed to top the charts for 5 weeks.Arguably the most famous singer to come from Dýria, Tove Lo is no stranger to the Fantasia Contest. She participated for the northern nation all the way back in the 2nd edition with the song Moments, which comes from her first ever album Queen of the Clouds. Although tipped to do well, she failed to qualify to the grand final as a result of a tiebreak. Tove explains how she felt about this to Nene Leakes and Kenya Moore:Initially I didn't mind really. You win some, you lose some. Unfortunately my emotions changed once I realized we failed to qualify by 0 points. That really bothered me for a long time. My country was so supportive of me, but I just knew I had to return sometime to try again.
Tove Lo has been rumoured to be in the running to represent Dýria for many editions. Every edition since #20, there have been rumours popping up online about her participating in the contest. The singer came very close to representing the country in the 22nd edition, as she explains below:I actually submitted an application to participate in the 22nd edition, and DRTV told me that I was always welcome to return to the contest and that they would, essentially, give me the spot if I ever decided to participate. However I withdrew, as I didn't feel ready to return just yet. Maybe it was the right decision? We did come 5th in the end thanks to miss Bríet. The next time I tried was fairly recently in the 25th edition, however again I decided not to go ahead with it and let Cosha take part. But now, I can safely say that I am ready to return.The song that was ultimately chosen to represent Dýria is Glad He's Gone which, although being released in 2019, remains a favourite among Dýrian fans. Tove dedicates this song to all her gays and girls who have gone through breakups with trashy men, and serves as a constant reminder that friends need to have each others' backs and that it's best to move onto the next one.t/s: 1:00-We wish the best of luck to Tove Lo on her return after 25 editions!

So it finally happened huh? In all seriousness, this has been in the works for many editions. The fact is is that I always either find something else or back down from sending Miss Lo. But not this time.  I chose Glad He's Gone simply because it's my favourite of hers tbh. I was close to sending another song but the streams on Spotify put me off sending it (Tove stans I'm sure you could take a guess - it is such a whopper!). Idc about the result. I'm glad Miss Lo is finally getting her chance to take part in the final. We stan

Political instability rocked the Flírsk nation after medium-scale riots took place across the country after yet another second place for the country, with "Kupala Na Ivana". This, alongside increased energy prices inspired the Flírsk people to come together under one common banner. The instability in the country has made the decision making process harder for broadcaster FMST, who this edition have decided to go back to the old, internal formula.
Artist after artist were reached out to. After much speculation, it turns out that Eartheater is indeed an Achróan artist, and Alewya rescinds all of her ties to the Flírsk state. India Jones? Fled to Ulikana as fast as she could. Stefflon Don was not available for comment as she was merely using the Flírsk airspace to quickly flock her way away away away from Niolskiaj in the direction of Wedse. Eventually, alternative rock temptress, enchantress Indigo De Souza took up that call.
IT'S INDIGO DE SOUZA FOR FLÍRSKMASTO
 
Indigo De Souza was born to an Achróan mother and an Aquian father who migrated to Flírskmasto to work as physicists. She only recently found her musical strive, releasing her debut album last year. She did indeed participate in the last FlírskSong, that is correct. "Kill Me" was written at a time where Indigo was chronically drained of her energy, just like me. She was navigating dysfunctional relationships, just like me, and navigating her role in society. This song INVOKES that anger, the anguish, yet tender nature of an intertwined love story.
The Flírsk public don't know Indigo De Souza. But if Indigo De Souza is as classy as POLNALYUBVI, and she can throw it down like the Harmonic Style Project, then maybe we have a recipe for SUCCESS. Okay? I need success. I need Madison Beer McDonalds lunch menu domination from our girl Indigo.
