New year, new contest! In years prior, I have hosted iterations of the Citivision Song Festival and Provincial Festival between both the forums and Discord to varying degrees of success. I've been able to study the formats of the contests that are successful, and I am ready to present a version of this contest that will last!
Rules and Format
This contest will observe the rules of most forum contests, of course (no J/ESC songs, no cheating, etc.). The contest will follow the old Melodifestivalen style, having multiple smaller semi-finals and a second chance round. This contest will not rely on recaps, following a presentation format similar to that of SCFFSCIBDSFE. I may make recaps during editions when I have more time, but they are not guaranteed. The difference between this and other contests is that you are the HoD of a province, not a nation. For UN-member nations, these are the first level political and administrative divisions, like the communities of
Spain, the states of the 
United States, and the prefectures of 
Japan. Exceptions, like the use of the ceremonial counties of 
Great Britain and Ireland, will be specified when necessary. Micronations like 
San Marino and territories like 
Hong Kong will compete as a single entity. Songs must be no older than five years before the date of confirmations closing. Artists must have at least one-third of a significant connection to their province, per NNMC rules.Confirmations
You can begin confirming and sending entries now! Users will be notified of any ineligible provinces or entries. No approval is needed for entries as of now. Provinces will reset, therefore past participants must re-confirm if they wanted to keep their province from a prior edition. If you desire not to be tagged, don't worry. I won't tag non-participants again after this.
