KRISTIN AMPARO WILL REPRESENT SWEDEN IN LEEDS! Despite only tieing in 2nd place with Dotter in the jury voting, Kristin Amparo managed to win the televoting and gain enough points to win Fantasifestivalen 38, meaning she will represent Sweden in the 38th edition of the North Vision Song Contest. Jury winner GERD unfortunately only managed to get 8th in the televoting and finished 3rd overall behind Dotter.

Tunisia's selection has crowned a winner!
The Tunisian national selection has just come to a conclusion and the winner is now revealed!
The final of the Tunisian national selection, The Tune, took place on Thursday, with 7 singers performing their songs with the hope of representing Tunisia. Now, after an intense 3-day voting period, a winner has been crowned. Just narrowly garnering more points than the 2nd place, you can now see the person who has won and will represent Tunisia. Big thank you to the 26 voters of the national selection!

She is Lella Fadda.
The official representative of Tunisia in the 38h edition of the North Vision Song Contest
During Ramadan of 2020, Egyptian actor and songtresss Lella Fadda captured our hearts with her role of ‘Laila’ in the now famous series, ‘El Brens’, directed by Mohammed Sami. A singer-songwriter, composer and actress, Fadda is a rising star with more than just one talent.
“I’ve been singing since I was very young, and nobody really told me that I have a nice voice – I just sang anyway. I started writing at the age of 17, because someone told me that I shouldn’t just wait around for someone else to write for me. I really thank that person until today for pushing me. This eventually led me into taking an acting workshop to figure out and discover more about myself,” recalls Fadda. Although the young star can really do it all, she can’t quite choose her favorite. “I can’t just pick one thing that I love doing most – I enjoy it all! Maybe in a few years my approach will change – so I really can’t pick one now because I could change in even two months! It’s all different parts of me but I can’t say “this me” – I’m all of them,” she describes.
Staying true to her genuine and authentic nature, Fadda finds inspiration in almost any artist pursuing their dreams. “They don’t have to be known or popular. Everyone’s a critic these days and there are very underrated people who don’t get the recognition they deserve due to popular trends. I’m also inspired by my own personal experiences,” says Lella.
Moreover, the rising star wants to see more female artists on the scene, and advises them that, “If there is something you want to do – go for it. I want to see more female artists, and for them to believe in themselves and their process. Don’t get bored with your own art, and keep pushing forward even if it gets repetitive. I think that it’s important to understand the market so that you don’t get taken advantage of. Not just because someone supports you means that they’ll help you financially either. It’s such a hard career, and pursuing it takes a lot of effort and mental space – I just wish people would understand that.”
When asked about how her creative process comes together, Lella stated,“ I don’t know. It kind of just comes together for me, and how I feel at the moment. Sometimes things come out of me that I didn’t even know existed. It’s either a very random process, or I just analyze myself and see what comes out of that. I think it’s a big thing to believe in the process of it all.”
The song she will sing is "Akher Ayam El Madina" which won 152 points from the voters of the national final, ahead of the 2nd place's 149 points. A collaboration between Fadda and longtime friend and producer, Ahmed Elian, the track is a short but memorable few minutes into a world of dark experimental pop. Experimental because Elian uses a range of unusual sounds to build the track, including fox sounds, and motorcycles revving.. It all feeds into a brooding sonic ensemble driven by smooth piano chords and euphonious guitar riffs. It provides the perfect backdrop for Fadda’s melancholic lyrics, which while vague and open-to-interpretation, are dripping in a sense of abandon - a feeling reflected in a unique video directed by Zena Abdelbaky.
