All internally as well as nationally selected entries must be sent to the council through this form for approval.
You are granted a maximum of two approval submissions that can be sent through the form. There will be no approvals after the second one - please think carefully before you send us your entries! Once your entries become approved, you will receive a notification from the NBU council.
As of the 38th edition, the meaning of the submission and presentation deadlines will be slightly different. First of all, the submission deadline will now mean that delegations must either have one internally selected entry or a finalised national selection line-up by this deadline. Delegations will still be able to send lists of songs if they really need to, but must have a final decision before the submission deadline. This is due to an influx of delegations sending lists of 5+ songs to the council that are ultimately internally selected past the submission deadline, which causes unnecessary hassle for the council in more ways than one.
Additionally, any timeslots or replacement videos must now be submitted to the NBU by the presentation deadline to ensure that they will be used in the contest. Any timeslots or replacement videos sent after this deadline will not be guaranteed and the NBU will work to select a 30-second timeslot, or create a 30-second replacement video, after this deadline. This is to make the creation of sneak peeks and recap videos as swift and easy as possible and to prevent any further waiting time.

THE UNITED KINGDOM CONFIRMS!
London – Tonight the BBC has confirmed the British participation for the 38th North Vision Song Contest. North Vision: Your Decision will once again serve as selection method. Songs and/or artists can be suggested >>here<<. The Head of Delegation promised a special change only for this edition.
"We're happy to announce that the United Kingdom is hosting the next edition of NVSC. Four cities have already expressed interest in hosting the competition. More information about the bidding process is coming soon.
We are also discussing our current national selection format, as we want it to be something very special this edition. Stay tuned."

 MOLDOVA WILL TAKE A BREAK!
Just moments ago TRM held a press conference regarding the  Moldovan participation in the North Vision Song Contest.
The head of the delegation made a statement:
"Last edition in Sweden we failed to qualify for the grand final by just one single point, we can not lie and say this didn't leave us with a huge feeling of disappointment. But we are not here to talk about the past, we are here to talk about the future of Moldova in the North Vision Song Contest. It's with deep regret that I have to announce that Moldova will not be taking part in the 38th edition in the United Kingdom. I can already confirm that preparations to be able to participate in the 39th edition have already begun, so stay tuned and see you all very soon! We will be back!"
Immediately after the press conference ended it was revealed that budget cuts and internal issues in the delegation are the reason behind the withdrawal.
Okay so I'm about to start my last semester of college and I will be extremely busy with my internship as a teacher. So I decided to take a break this edition, but I will still follow the contest just not as a participant this time. But I will be back in the 39th edition so untill then have fun guys!

San Marino will fly to UK for NVSC 38!
San Marino RTV CONFIRMS participation in NVSC 38
The positive streak of  San Marino was interrupted in the 37th edition,
after 5 consecutive finals, unfortunately the microstate was eliminated in the semifinal (14th place).
The HoD: We will organize the selection Festival dei Castelli #15.
Despite this unexpected NQ, the national selection is an important brand for San Marino,
so we confirm that the Festival will still be there!
The lines are open for sending the songs,

 Finland confirms participation - national selection gets a huge revamp
YLE announced today on their website that  Finland will be seen in North Vision Song Contest 38. Pohjoisviisut will be once again used as a selection method. However, Pohjoisviisut will be rebranded from the upcoming edition onwards as it will get a completely new format and design. Not much information was given about what is going to be renewed, except it will have fewer semi-finals and is meant to give better chances for unknown artists. "The new format is meant to give better opportunities for unknown artists that are trying to make their breakthrough whilst still have the household names competing in a contest filled with great songs. It will also lighten our burden as we only have to host one preliminary round instead of three semi-finals" said the director of Pohjoisviisut at yle.fi. More information about Pohjoisviisut 38 is promised to be revealed during artists announcement. |

RIGA • 31/01/2022 Latvia will (sadly) participate in NVSC #38
LTV and the main sponsor for a Latvian participation in NVSC, Coca Cola are both available to confirm the Latvian participation for the NorthVision Song Contest #38, most likely to be held in the  United Kingdom. Following a 9th place by Nola, after winning both Pre Qualification Round and Semi-final, and coming at 5 points of bringing a second automatic qualification for  Latvia, it was obvious that the Baltic state would be present, especially boosted with  Lithuania's great result in the contest too.
During a small interview, the Latvian Delegation was able to confirm that the new national selection announced during the 36th edition will be hosted, named Latvija Decides!
The selection will be consisting of an undertemined amount of songs, most likely in either English, Latvian or Russian (although we do leave the door open for any language), and where a selected international jury and the Latvian televote will be deciding on the Latvian entry for the 38th edition.
The selection is expected to be hosted through the month of February! More informations is expected to come soon.

  THE NETHERLANDS TO COMPETE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM! AVROTROS can announce that The Netherlands will compete in the thirty-eight North Vision Song Contest.
After a disappointing edition with Froukje coming in 4th in the Pre-Qualification Round, narrowly missing out on the semi finals by 2 points, The Dutch Broadcaster is carrying out an overhaul of the selection process.
Due to this, AVROTROS also can confirm that the selection method will be a National Final! Yes, the 13th Edition of Noordvisie Song Festival is finally taking place, after a 2 edition hiatus. It is expected to be a multi-show national final, but this is still to be confirmed.
The hunt for the Dutch NVSC entry has begun once again, and one thing can be sure. It will be serving the Netherlands' finest in terms of music, lyrics & performance, whilst promoting smaller acts within the Netherlands.
Any suggestions from around Europe (and Australia) are more than welcome, and is encouraged by AVROTROS. Please DM me on here or on Discord @ matt!#6988.

 SHALOM NORTHVISION! This morning, KAN confirmed the Israeli participation in the 38th edition of the Northvision Song Contest, held in the United Kingdom. The head of delegation Maxim Raevsky added:
"We're so proud of Narkis for reaching the left side of the scoreboard in  Stockholm. We hope we can enter the Top 10 in the near future!"
Once again, the Israeli entry will be chosen through the national selection show Israelifest. This 4th edition is titled "Shir La'Mamlacha Hameuchdet".
Newcomers and established singers from Israel and beyond are invited to submit their potential entries via www.kan.org.il/northvision

 Serbia confirms participation in North Vision Song Contest #38
After achieving a whopping 3rd place in #37, RTS has announced that  Serbia will participate in North Vision Song Contest #38
Another edition of BMGP will be held. The format will be the same as the previous edition.
12 songs will compete. There will be two semi-finals with 6 songs each. Voting will be open to everyone and they can vote for up to 2 songs. The three songs to gain the most votes will qualify to the final. Each semi-final will last 10 days.
The final will also have 6 songs. The format will be the same as the semis except the voting will only be open to (Co-)HoD's. Voting will last until shortly before the deadline. The winner will represent Serbia in North Vision Song Contest 38
The selection line-up is likely to be a lot less experimental than the previous edition, as voters made it clear that they prefer the familiar sounds of the Balkans. We will only include songs of other genres unless we truly believe they have to potential to go far.
Suggestions are more than welcome. Even though most of them are songs we would have found anyway, it still has a huge influence on who gets in.
