 | Artists of Lietuvos Garsai 2 are announced! |
Following a very successful finish by our gem MeidĖ in Stockholm, the LRT has been flooded with submissions for the thirty-eighth edition. Out of 234 applications, only 10 made it to the live shows. Get to know the participating acts better below!
All of the songs were also (at least partly) written by the singers themselves. We will witness 5 songs in the Lithuanian language, 4 will be performed in English and, for the first time in the Lietuvos Garsai history, 1 song performed in Polish.
For the second edition of the show, it was decided that the fourth largest
Lithuanian city Šiauliai will host the competition. The golden color for this edition was chosen due to the fact Šiauliai is often mentioned as The City of Sun, also capturing a variety of landmarks dedicated for the golden color, The Statue of Golden Boy, for example. Family duo Rolandas & Ieva Mackevičiai will host the show.
Lastly, 10 juries have been already chosen to give their detailed critiques about the competing songs. After spending hours assessing different criteria, LRT has chosen the following countries to serve as the jurors in the second edition of Lietuvos Garsai:
