Welcome back to the American selection for Select Song Contest!

As announced earlier, the theme "California Gurls" was chosen for the second time.

Here are the participating entries and a short introduction of our contestants:

Thea Taylor aka carolesdaughter is the youngest out of ten kids of educator parents. She grew up in a Mormon family south of Los Angeles and just north of San Diego in Oceanside, CA. Her precise age is undetermined since diverse sources don't match - she is probably between 17 and 19 years old. She made her debut one year ago and she will compete with her latest song called Target Practice released last month.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Abrams is the daughter of J. J. Abrams, the famous film director (Armaggedon, several movies of the franchises Mission: Impossible, Star Trek and Star Wars), and Katie McGrath, a film and television producer. She is 22 years old. She made her debut in the music industry in October 2019 and her entry in competition was released in May 2021.

Alexis Jade Burnett aka Lexi Jade is a 19 year old actress, model and singer born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She is mostly known as an actress for her role in the movie Lucky Dog. She started singing at the age of 10 and released her first song in 2017 when she was 15. Her song Drunk text me is one month old.

Lila Drew is a 21 year old singer native from Callifornia who is currently studying at Yale. She has been writing song for more than a decade and her musical career officially started in 2018. She will compete with her song Crystal Ball released in November 2021.

Tiffany Day, who recently turned 22, was born in Canada but raised in Kansas and moved to Los Angeles in 2019. She has been active in the music industry since 2018 and she will compete with the song If I don't text you released in June 2021.
