My top 8 of Melodi Grand Prix 2023
1. Eyjaa - I Was Gonna Marry HimFirst off, let me tell you that I love that song title. But apart from that the song itself is good too. It's catchy and the girls have enjoyable voices. 2. Maia Maia - Beautiful Bullshit It's enjoyable and somewhat spanking (Idk if that's the right word lol). I'm struggling a bit with her voice - especially in the deeper parts at the beginning of the song. 3. Søren Torpegaard Lund - Lige her Oh, so this is something different. It's a stand out song just for it being in Danish and not a dance pop song. On the downside, it's boring and there's not much going on. Still I'm placing it here because to me it's quite beautiful.
4. Frederik Leopold - Stuck on You It's not essentially bad, but rather unspecacular, I fear ... Also its lyrics are repetitive and include too much "ba ba ba ba ba" etc. Frederik can sing, but has an unpleasant voice imo. I'd like it more if it were an octave deeper.
5. Nicklas Sonne - Freedom Okay, it's good for having a rock song in the selection as well. Sadly it's repetitive and the singer is trying too hard.
6. Reiley - Breaking My Heart I didn't really get into this entry. It's a strange rhythm going on and all those "breaks" and speed changes o(?) are rather hindering the song from going anywhere besides being just annoying ...
7. Micky Skeel - Glansbillede Not a fan of this entry, but at least he's an original voice and is not in English.
8. Mariyah LeBerg - HumanMariyah's voice sticks out, but is sadly not too enjoyable to me. The song itself might have a beuaitufl instrumental, but overall it's unspectacular and to me worked only as sound for the background.
Let me be honest, listening to these songs could've been worse, as there's a couple of songs I kinda enjoyed. Still, the majority of all the entries is basically just there.

Better than nothing. Literally anything to get back in the final. It's a from me. Also, there are people calling him what is called an "industry plant" which obviously seems like they are derailing his chances. A bit harsh if you will.

For Danish Eurovision standards, this song is quite good. And generally speaking, their third best entry (behind 2018 and 2020) since the last victory. And yeah, it's a regular pop song. The only experimental element is the inclusion of these special effects in the chorus that get annoying at some point. But besides them, it's quite unspectacular, and I can't give it more than a .

I can't tell whether I like this or not. The irritating aspects do make it intriguing.
