The songs from Heat 1 have been released today. Eurovisionworld were so kind to add an audio to every entry competing. You can access them with the following link.
My top 7 of Heat 1: 1. Alessandra - Queen of Kings A modern pop song that reminds me a bit of Ava Max. That's probably just me, though.
2. Ulrikke Brandstorp - Honestly This is obviously trying to be Attention II. It's a beautiful song, but but has at some parts a bit a weird instrumentation. I find particularly the last minute, very impressive not gonna lie.
3. Kate Gulbrandsen - Tårer i paradis First off, this singer gets a thumbs up from me just because she's singing fully in Norwegian. The song is quite beautiful, but lengthy af. Btw. I can actually imagine this qualifying. Since it's a ballad it sticks out among all those dance pop songs.
4. Eirik Næss - Wave
Eirik's voice, may be on the annoying side, but overall it's okay. And Idk, but it sounds very Scandinavian to me. Not sure how I can tell that lol.
5. Byron Williams Jr & Jowst - Freaky For The Weekend
Not gonna lie, but I had actual struggles listening. The singer has an original, yet a bit weird voice and those effects are quite annoying. Tbh. I'm already wondering how they're planning to do this live, but it's probably just going to be similar to Grab the moment.
6. Rasmus Thall - Tresko
It's a bit too much computer effects here, if you ask me. On the positive side, that's what makes it stand-out. However personally I find so many things annoying here including his voice and the instrumental. At least it's not in English.
7. Umami Tsunami feat. Kyle Alessandro, Kristian Haugstøyl & Magnus Winjum - Geronimo
If I may ask this: Who's Geronimo? This entry is probably the epitome of an unspectacular song. In every single way. It could easily be added to some Spotify Dance Playlist and no one would care, but that's about it.

Queen of Kings sounds very scandi house, like Parade....

My top 7 of Heat 2:
1. Jone - Ekko Inni Meg At first I had some struggles with the song as well as the vocals - especially the female ones - but as it kept going, I actually like it.
2. Bjørn Olav Edvardsen - "Turn Off My Heart" What a weird song title. Anyway, it's a ballad with some Disney vibes going on. The first part is a bit boring, but then at some point the song becomes quite good.
3. Alejandro Fuentes - FuegoIt's an okay song imo that I somewhat even enjoyed. It's not annoying - if we're minoring the amount of fuego in the lyrics, but doesn't really go anywhere.
4. Sandra Lyng - Drøm d bortIt's somewhere between okay and underwhelming. On the positive side, Sandra sings in Norwegian here. My favourite part of the song are those "na na na na na na" parts.
5. Elsie Bay - Love you in a dreamIt's a bit boring, but evolves well in the second half. What I dislike the most here, however, is her voice ...
6. Swing'it - Prohibition Oh, this is an original one. Also I'm quite intrigued after the studio version and need to see it live. In the studio version it's a bit flat imo and the vocalist's rather shouting than singing.
7. Ella - Waist A modern song with lots of potential to be annoying in a genre I don't like. Sadly there's also not too much happening throughout the full song. I liked the moment it changed to Portuguese though.

Alessandra is already fucking huge on TikTok.... In fact, it's already being connected to Ukraine's national costume at Miss Universe. I'll let you guess what the costume looked like.

I know it's over already, but this was my list of tonight's heat 1. Atle Pettersen - Masterpiece (Slightly repetive) 2. Eline Thorp - Not Meant to Be (The beginning is quite beautiful before changing to weird.) 3. Skrellex - Love Again (Not the most original song, but at least it's catchy and addictive.) 4. Maria Celin - Freya (Good and powerful song, although the chorus and verses don't go together as well as they should.) 5. Tiril Beisland - Break It (It's okay, but it could be a bit more epic, especially towards the end.) 6. Akuvi - Triumph (It doesn't sound very Norwegian in Eurovision to me. Therefore, an unusual entry.) 7. Stig van Eijk - Someday (A reggae entry is also rather unusual. However, it's rather boring and lengthy.)
And now that we have our full lineup for next week's final, this seems to be what my top 9 (mostly according to my comments since I've hardly listened a second time) looks like: 1. Alessandra Mele - Queen of Kings 2. Jone - Ekko inni Meg 3. Ulrikke Brandstorp - Honestly 4. Atle Pettersen - Masterpiece 5. Elsie Bay - Love You in a Dream 6. Swing'it - Prohibition 7. Eline Thorp - Not Meant to Be 8. Skrellex - Love Again 9. Umami Tsunami feat. Kyle Alessandro, Kristian Haugstøyl & Magnus Winjum - Geronimo

Okay, Alessandra eventually took it. Mot gonna lie, but I absolutely love the entry. In other words, it is my first of the year.
