My top 10 of Etapa Națională 2023
1. Pasha Parfeny - Soarele şi luna
A modern dance song with traditional elements. It's also quite inviting to clap - and possibly sing - along.
2. Aliona Moon - Du-măI don't have too many things to say here because this is just a good and modern song. 3. Cosmina - IndestructibleCosmina has somewhat of an advantage because this is absolutely my type of ballad! Sadly it doesn't suit her ... 4. Victor Gulick - Let's DanceIt's a fun song that I enjoy listening. That does not count for his vocals though ... Also in musical terms there's not too much happening over the full length so it takes much more time than what it feels like. 5. Surorile Osoianu - Bade, bădişor, bădiţăOh, a traditional song!  Sadly that's already the most positive thing about it. This song is very lengthy and has too much lalalala in the lyrics. Also I don't get the more silent instrumental part. Like, why is that even there? 6. Donia - Red ZoneIt's modern and I can see where it tries to go with those oriental elements included. Sadly it's also annoying and Idk whether it suits her voice. 7. SunStroke Project - Yummy Mommy It's a mess and this time the saxophone doesn't fit in either. 8. Nördika - Damn and downA good example of a song I could use a studio version ... In the audition it sounded rather annoying to me and as if the girl tried way too hard on top of her voice not suiting the song.
9. OL - Why You Play It CoolIt's quite unspectacular and repetitive. 10. Corina Ivanov - When Love's RealAn emotional ballad, but it doesn't reach me at all ...
The full NS is okay at most, I fear. There's a good variety, but too much English for my likings. Additionally the songs are not essentially bad, but most of them are fillers at best.

Yeah, I love this. A  for Moldova. At some parts I find it a bit bland / weak, however. |
