The Belgian national broadcasters, RTBF & VRT, have confirmed Belgium's participation in the 41st North Vision Song Contest. In an exciting twist, it has been revealed that Belgium will most likely opt for a national selection format known as Belfestival to determine their representative for the upcoming contest.
Following the remarkable achievement of Taska Black feat. Alioth and their sensational song "Lights Out", Belgium's interest in the contest has reached unprecedented heights. The captivating performance and well-deserved second-place finish have sparked immense enthusiasm among both artists and the general public. Because of their success, Belgium has earned the coveted privilege of automatic qualification to the final. CONFIRMATIONS ARE CLOSED!
51 countries will join us in  Austria this edition!
 Armenia has not made a statement in time and will therefore withdraw from the edition.
Unfortunately, this also means that LazyPam has reached a warning percentage of 100% for repeated rule violations
and has lost her current place in the contest. She is allowed to sign up on the Waiting List again, if she wishes to return.
Armenia will be allocated to a new user, with the draw happening once we get close to the next edition.

Tamta will represent Cyprus in NVSC #41
  Tamta Goduadze known mononymously as Tamta, is a Georgian-Greek singer. She first achieved popularity in Greece in 2004 for her participation in Super Idol Greece, in which she placed second. She went on to release several charting albums and singles in Greece and Cyprus, also becoming a mentor on X Factor Georgia in 2014, and The X Factor Greece in 2016.
She represented Georgia in North Vision Song Contest #3 with the song "With Love", but failed to qualify for the final, ending up 11th in the semi-final. 10 editions later, she represented Greece in North Visiong Song Contest #13, with the song "Den ime o,ti nomizeis" when she failed to qualify from the semi-final again, ending up in the 19th place.
Today, on June 2nd 2023 she released her 4th studio album named "Identity Crisis". The entry will be selected through an internal selection and will be among the 10 songs that are included in the album.

FARVEBLIND
Farveblind are an electronic and avant-pop trio of producers, in which their name is the Danish translation of the word colorblind. The act have been dubbed as ‘The Chemical Younger-Brothers’ and ‘rampant dance floor noise monsters’ and also known for combining a variety of musical genres and styles, ranging from rave and punk music. The act are known for their 'extraordinary' live performances, which have captivated audiences across different European cities and festivals, including Roskilde, Eurosonic and Stereoleto. In the past, they have worked with the critically acclaimed producer, Steve Dub, who has also produced for the likes of the The Prodigy, New Order, The Chemical Brothers and Moby. Their entry will be revealed in due course, but it will be taken from their most recent EP, 'All Clubs Are Bastards', released in October 2022.

The edition in Greece turned out differently than expected: Our entrant DAYTON only received a total of 100 points in the semifinal. That meant the 19th place out of 21 acts and consequently an automatic place in this edition's pre-qualification round. Ukraine comes prepared, again with an artist deeply rooted in the musical history of her home country, so please welcome... LEYA!
Trying to get closer to the roots of old Slavic legends and myths, the Ukrainian singer  Leya chose the mythological figure of Mara (aka the title of her entry) for her composition. As she explains herself who/what Mara is:
"Mara is a female character of Slavic mythology. Appears as a ghost, an evil spirit. Mara can be seen at night under the moonlight. She was most often described as a tall figure with long limbs that strangles you at night. The souls of sinful, offended women, who died without confession, became ghosts. A virgin girl who was supposed to become someone's wife could also become a dream if her real lover married someone else. She then came to torment him at night. You could try to catch Mara in a bottle by scooping it from the head to the feet of the sleeping person. This is only one of the options to fight it, but remember it, then you will hear why. In fact, they tried to explain sleep paralysis with a dream, which is where so many detailed descriptions of this spirit come from."
The theme of the song correlates perfectly with the epic sounding instrumental, underlining the dramatic atmosphere of the song. But in order to experience it yourself, you should take a listen.
