 NOVALIAN RANKING01 i'm so hot - this is the type of song kim petras wishes she could make. chrissy and this banger of an instrumental really make it work.
02 darbuka - the way this song combines trap/hyperpop and traditional turkish drums is really entertaining. I would say I could türkiye sending this in nvsc but I feel like that would jinx it
03 takutá - sometimes you just gotta let the song speak for itself. it's got this special charm to it where you can immediately figure out what it sets out to do, and I commend it for that.
04 not a friend - it took me a little bit to realize this singer was from thailand, cuz the singer's name sounded familiar but I just couldn't place it!  anyways, the song is pretty well produced, aside from that weird low "do-no-no" noise used in the bass.
05 pussy killed the trapstar - chase icon like we all know her and love her. the bratz rv is very appropriate for this song.
06 main character - the production SLAPS but the song just feels too short. having listened to the timeslot and the itunes preview, knowing its 2 minutes long, I'm afraid I've already heard it all!
07 padam padam - I love kylie, and this isn't bad necessarily, but she's had much better. the vocal arrangement does that thing where you think it's gonna be in one key but it switches up and it's actually in a different key. I think I worded that the wrong way but whatever. also the beat is just that one generic line used in 90% of the UK house music scene.
08 new bottega - most of the song is duckwalk-worthy, but ma'am that timeslot made it look horrible... 
09 cheeks - i really don't know what to say. siri really let herself go huh
10 candyland - I've heard this same beat line in at least 50 different cat music-type songs. it may already be stale. |
