THE MAIN PIECE & THE SLOGAN
The Grey Wolf is greatly linked to Balkan and Serbian mythology and cults, has an important part in Serbian mythology, and has been accepted as a sacred and national animal throughout Turkic history. In the Slavic, old Serbian religion and mythology, the wolf was used as a totem. In the Serbian epic poetry, the wolf is a symbol of fearlessness. Today, the wolf is also depicted on several Serbian municipality coat of arms as a heraldry symbol. Turks believe that they are descended from a gray wolf. In the first years of the Republic, gray wolf pictures were printed on Turkish banknotes.
Harmonized Melodies, the slogan of the upcoming edition, takes inspiration from the nature and characteristics of the wolves. Wolves are social animals gathering in a pack with bonding social relation. They communicate by using vocalization or howling. It can be used as a social rally call, a hail to hunt or as a territorial expression. Thus, the slogan encourages the artists and audience across the world to make use of music as a medium for bonding with each other and creating a harmonized world.
