• Latvia to be present for the 42nd edition •
Despite very early plans on a potential withdrawal, the qualification of Diana Goldberg, seen as a surprise by many including in the Latvian delegation, gave some motivation (and money) for the delegation to enable a Latvian presence in NVSC #42, set to be held in Portugal.
Due to the tight deadline imposed by the NBU, it is however impossible to confirm if a fourth edition of Latvija Decides will be hosted, however the door is not closed for its return this edition.

San Marino confirms participation for NVSC 42!
San Marino RTV will be there in the next edition
It's a difficult period for San Marino, after two consecutive negative results.
HoD: The country will try to rise from the ashes and will take part in the new edition hosted by Portugal.
"We are already at work for the new edition, the NVSC is increasingly high-level, so it will be increasingly difficult for us to find what everyone will like. Our goal is always to reach the final show regardless of the position in the rankings".

Serbia confirms participation in North Vision Song Contest #42
Despite failing to secure a fifth consecutive qualification, Serbia is here to stay!
Another edition of BMGP will be held. The format is still under discussion within the broadcaster. The number of entries may be reduced due to time and budget constraints.
Though we have thankfully avoided this fate for eight editions, RTS maintains its policy against participating in future Pre-Qualification Rounds.

What an edition it was in Austria! While others celebrated their first ever victory in the North Vision Song Contest (again congratulations to the Portuguese delegation for this amazing achievement!), Ukraine had to witness with deep regret how Leya missed the entry into the semifinals by a few points. This marks another low point for Ukraine in the history of the competition. Due to this, the current HoD has decided to step down from his position and hand it over to an already known successor, who will now bring the Ukrainian music industry and all Ukraine's interest in the NVSC back to new heights.
I'm not the very best when it comes to saying a lot of words, so I'll try to keep it short: The time I spent as HoD of Ukraine in this competition had a great impact on me and, what's more, brought me a bit closer to my personal roots. After I was able to achieve smaller, albeit for the country first successes in NVSC before with Georgia, larger experiences of success were still missing. With one victory, several other top 3 finishes and relatively few non-qualifications, I can look back on a remarkable history and be proud of it. Thanks to all of you for these moments! ♥
Radek, I am sure you will do a fantastic job. You probably know the Ukrainian music industry even better than I do, so I don't doubt at all that you will have a lot of fun. On top of that, you have finally managed to become a part of the NVSC community. You are very welcome!
But all good things come to an end, I guess. Personally, I have to admit that I may have gotten a little bored with Ukraine, but that has nothing to do with the country or its music, no way! Competing with the same country for 6 years is quite a time, and I think I'm definitely ready for a challenge, which is to familiarize myself with a completely new music industry. Armenia is not completely unknown to me and I have been listening to Armenian music for a long time, but on a competitive basis I have no experience with this country. I'm excited to see what Armenia has in store for me, so stay tuned for what's to come on my part. NTU © 2023 • Published on 13th October 2023

Now that the country has been suspended for one edition, the new Armenian delegation can announce with great anticipation that Armenia is back! After a change at HoD level, the country is now trying to return to great glory by working with new internal structures, new ways of acquiring new artists and innovative song selections. So you see, the Armenian delegation has big things in store, so stay tuned to see how the new HoD will do.
As for the upcoming edition in Portugal, there is nothing official to announce yet. However, rumors are circulating that a certain artist seems to be in high demand, as various hints on social media and an increased collaboration of the NVSC delegation with said artist point to it. Thus, it seems that no national preliminary is planned, according to which this edition will boil down to an internal selection. When exactly the next Armenian entry will be presented is also unclear. In the meantime, stay tuned! ARMTV © 2023 • Published on 13th October 2023
