North Vision Song Contest 42 • Grand Final Results

Congratulations NBU for another amazing edition I had so much fun with a lot of these songs and I'm so happy with the results despite a few snubbed entries getting placed in the PQR when they didn't deserve it (looking at Egypt and Tunisia. Anyways time to post my thoughts on the results below!

I called a Balkan win this edition with either this song or Serbia's song! I've been a huge fan of a lot of Zera's works and to see her get her flowers this edition is super amazing. This song was honestly such a bop and I just jammed out extremely hard to this song so it's so amazing to see her win the whole contest, plus giving Montenegro their first Northvision win is so amazing (specially how Gdje Je was absolutely robbed in 40's final like that song was amazing). Anyways congrats Basil for your win and I really am excited to see how Montenegro is going to host 43!

This song I actually just listened to in the car ride to work today so hey talk about timing, anyways this was such an interesting blend of pop with a bit of rock in it and I just really loved it. United Kingdom knows how to send amazing entries each and every edition and this isn't any exception, this was really really good and so deserved of it's second placement. I don't think anything can stop the UK in Northvision.

A bit of an overused song in contests with Rear View, however if it isn't broke don't fix it. The song is just such a mix of chill but also the beat is super strong and I can see why it does well in almost every contest it's submitted in. From it winning Fortuna to now getting 3rd here it's super deserved to get an AQ position, and it's just honestly a bop so really well done Norway!

I think this is a bit of a grower on me because yeah it's a basic pop song but you just can't help but love it. It's a really strong entry, and I'm jamming when the beat drop plus the little keyboard? sound during it just a really fun song, it's just one of those songs you just want to have fun with not caring what it's about or who's singing it which is a nice thing. Ana Mena will always be famous so I'm glad she placed well here, good job Spain!

This song didn't do much for personally but I can't be mad at it since Italy always seems to do well in Northvision and the songs I see submitted now usually grow on me during the years so who knows maybe Rizzo will come back in the future to get redemption Saint Levant did so I'm not gonna knock Rizzo out. Overall really good job Italy!

There is always that one entry that I personally cannot get behind since it's just not for me however I want to say congratulations to the user because this is their first entry and it got an AQ spot to I think that's a feat within itself, and honestly if this result is coming from your first entry then you may be on your way to celebrate a win in the future so really good work!

I always have to shoutout the one country that I feel was most snubbed in the final and I feel it was Morocco just because that song was absolutely stunning! It should have honestly placed in top 10 at least because it just at a mix of everything good that I really like in songs like that. To see it place in the bottom half of the scoreboard made me shocked because it did not deserve that. I am pretty happy it broke Morocco's NQ streak but still I'm just sitting here shocked that it got bottom half, and it deserved so much more, I hope to see more entries like this from Ashelyn
