Whilst AOA has confirmed Alkyria's presence at the 35th Fantasia Contest, the anticipation didn't last for long - this morning the nation got introduced to the upcoming representative that will carry the Alkyrian flag back in  Torlova.

Originally from the city of Xhago, Deki Alem are Johnny and Sammy Bennett - a pair of twin brothers that arose to the Alkyrian music industry fairly recently after headlining several local festivals and playing support acts for several big names across Fantasia. They're an eclectic pair that doesn't stick to one style, whilst generally they're labeled as "alternative pop", they also incorporate other genres or subgenres in their artwork, such as drum & bass, rap, neo-soul or grunge, among others. They've been releasing music since 2022 together, with their two EP's "Among Heads", respectively "Fluent Stutter" reaching critical acclaim across the country. They were decently popular among the underground scene, and due to their energy and charisma on stage, their shows are explosive to say the least. Their entry will be released in due time, so stay tuned! |

 Dýrian diva revealed!
Dyflinnjaborg • 22 May 2024 DRTV, the Dýrian broadcaster, has just revealed the artist & song that will represent the country in Torlova. After an outstanding 7th place achieved by  CMAT last edition, the Dýrian broadcaster remains committed to the contest and interest is as high as ever. This edition, Dýria will be returning to one of her native languages.It's Una Torfa for Dýria!  Una Torfadóttir, or simply Una Torfa, is a Dýrian artist who is originally from the city of Sjóborg. She now resides in Dyflinnjaborg as she decided to move there to focus on her music career.
Not much is known about Una in comparison to other Dýrian entrants recently. She began releasing music in 2022 with her first EP, Flækt og týnd og einmana (tangled and lost and lonely) which was a relative success in her home country on Spotify. She has recently released her first album in 2024 called Sundurlaus samtöl (disjointed conversations) which has managed to sneak into the top 50 albums in Dýria. After being selected as the Dýrian entrant, she will no doubt see an increase in streams within the country, as is always the case.
Speaking to Nene Leakes in the reveal show, Torfa simply stated that she was immensely proud and delighted to be representing her home country and that she would do the best that she could ever do to bring Dýria to the final once again.
Our entry for this edition happens to be her most popular song and has been well-known in Dýria, scoring 10th on the charts in 2022.  Glaiola's representative for the Fantasia Contest #35

The Talusia based LGBTQ+ glam-pop collective will represent the country in the upcoming Fantasia Contest held in Torlova, as a result of Elyanna's win last edition. The members of the band are Jocelyn Si (vocals), Finlay McCarthy (synths), Lewis Carmichael (guitar), Charlie Lock (bass) and Jack Martin (drums). They are stylistically fluid, spanning from a wide range of genres, such as glam rock, goth rock, new wave, art pop and synth pop as well as taking a theatrical approach. In similar vein to the stylistically similar music movements in the 70s and 80s, the band constantly challenges the gender binary and promotes the importance self-exploration and self-expression.
Recently premiered on GTV's alternative music radio station, GTV 6, the collective will perform their song "Come Undone" on the Fantasia stage. The song was co-written by the band's labelmate, Jessica Winter. It is accompanied by a music video inspired by Scandavian expressionist cinema and was produced by Kasparas Vidunas and Eric J. Liddle. In a recent interview, the band dubbed the song as a 'Lonely Party Song', as it discusses the feeling of loneliness when surrounded by a group of people. The lead singer, Jocelyn Si, explains the song as
"Come Undone is our lonely party song, it’s about the yearning for company, physical touch, and sexuality that is often universally felt by a person who is single… These desires can be briefly satisfied by dates and short flings and, at those times, I’d find I would open up more to these strangers than to friends that I’d known and loved for years. 'Nobody sees me the way you perceive me is easy' is quite a ridiculous thing to say about someone you have just met"
