B A N G E R, Angola was robbed of this at Own Africa. I can't stop listening to this song.

Stunning, somehow better than my own failed attempt to use the islands last edition (yeah yeah I missed the song confirmation deadlines coz I was asleep, but trust me it would've slayed, if slightly less than this)

Makes me wish I was driving in the Balkans, window open, sunglasses on, summer sun blazing.

Actually a fat bop. Memorised a solid portion of the dance.

Wish I could've given this more, I love it so much.

As a proud Breton (Celtic bros) and a fan of this style of music, I have no idea why this isn't higher. Slayed so hard.

I cannot express how much I am fed up of this genre. Expected position, but not my ideal choice for top 10.

The Belarusian HoD woke up for these results, as he had a night shift right afterwards, appropriately at North McDonald's. He (I?) arrived just in time for the final results, and upon seeing Filip Balos hosting, shared a personal anecdote regarding him.

Back in May 2023, Tommy had gone to Belgrade to visit a friend during Eurovision week, intending to watch together, as art of a larger Balkan trip. On the night before the grand final, he was invited to join some random people he met on Grindr to a Eurovision themed night at a club in the city. He (I?) accepted. The headliners at this even were some drag queens and some singers from that year's Pesma Za Evroviziju. Namely third place Nadia, nil points Filarri, and a certain particularly handsome man whose face he couldn't quite remember. About 15-30 minutes after arrival at the club, some particularly handsome man needs to move past Tommy, in front of him, and accidentally brushes his crotch in the process (his Belarussy, so to speak). After the other two artists performed, the third came on. Lo and behold! The particularly handsome man who accidentally brushed my crotch was none other than Filip Balos! (omg)

Now, following a brief mentioned of this fun anecdotal story, some users in the results chatroom were initially quite shocked. However, one user in particular (cough cough Chante™) did not believe this at all. They accused our esteemed head of delegation of lying, with an unknown motive implied to be either attention or shock value. In reality, he has documented evidence of his attendance of the event on his Instagram page, and for the sake of humour, I am pretending this is some big incident so that I can absolutely drag you and spice up the final results post. Periodt x

(God I seriously need to make my mind up on whether to use the first or third person in these)

Also, fun fact, baloches, pronounced the same way as Filip's surname, is a funny French word for balls. (rofl)

I really didn’t find this that bad… To me it was in the middle of these finalists but I understand it just didn’t really stand out enough. Robbed thohgh

WAY too low! She can do better than this but this was a vibe and sounded actually interesting so this result is a shame to me

In this final it just kinda made no noise. Maybe a rv would’ve helped but I really don’t think it would’ve made waves either way

Definitely one of the weaker ones in this final. This didn’t really leave an impression for me at all

I’ll be honest this was the weakest entry in the final to me. It just seems so annoying and I don’t really like the vocals either. Congrats on your result, but I kinda think any song in the final could’ve AQed and I would’ve been happier

This really stood out in the final lineup and got my attention so I voted for it. This getting top 3 feels so right. Ukraine’s music is really a powerhouse

To me this really would’ve been the perfect winner. My favourite artist ever with one of their best songs. To me it was the clear choice for a win but 2nd is in no way a bad result. Congrats for this!

It was never the undeniable winner to me that other people seemed to see it as, but I can’t deny it’s very good, especially for one of the weaker industries in the contest. Big congratulations for this win and im ready for the next edition in North Macedonia!!

This edition was really nice. I’m glad I could get this result and hopefully I’ll be back to serve some more Monegasque flavour!!!

Tommy no I did not take the song from that video because I was unaware of its existence or even about that channel. For the record, I had a playlist for Cyprus even before I took it in the contest and I kept adding songs whenever I came across them, and to be honest I did get the song from someone, if I’m not wrong it was since it was used in a NS for NVSC and it stayed there for quite some years before I rediscovered it mainly because I was running out of good songs to send and I looked through older songs in the playlist.

Also for the record, Lene lene already participated. My other entry i considered was Ivi Adamou - Agoraki mou but I thought it was too “Greek” and I wasn’t sure of its chances, but since I already NQed I guess nothing would have changed.
