France to return in the contest, under new delegation! France Télévisions can now confirm that France will be returning to the Northvision Song Contest, after an edition away, and along that, bought a new management team, including a new head of delegation! I firstly would like to thank Jens for the excellent job with the country in NVSC, and for giving me the opportunity to participate in this contest with my home country.
The new delegation is now able to confirm that for the 44th edition, the French entry will be picked through an Internal Selection, however, we can already confirm that a National Selection will be held in the future.
More information about the French entry is set to be revealed in due course. We can however confirm that the planned entry will be sung in French. |

  THE NETHERLANDS TO COMPETE IN NVSC #44! AVROTROS can officially confirm that The Netherlands will be competing in the 44th North Vision Song Contest.
After another excellent edition for The Netherlands with Zoë Livay achieving 7th place in the Grand Final, interest is still high in The Netherlands in the contest.
AVROTROS is rumoured to be selecting the entry internally, but the idea of a national selection is still being floated within the broadcaster.

SWEDEN CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION!
14 July 2024. The Swedish Head of Delegation responsible for the North Vision Song Contest of  SVT, Jan Björkman, has officially confirmed, that Sweden will continue its participation in the North Vision Song Contest.
FANTASIFESTIVALEN WILL BE HELD!
It has officially been revealed, that another edition of Fantasifestivalen will be held in order to determine the Swedish entry. More information on the format will be published in due time.
The Head of Delegation, Jan Björkman, stated the following:
"We are beyond delighted to see our beloved participant Zoe Lobos achieve a top 5 result, our first since Agnes' victory back in the thirty-sixth edition. The decision to continue our participation underscores our commitment to celebrating musical excellence and fostering cultural exchange within Europe and beyond, specifically celebrating the Palestinian debut in the upcoming edition. In this regard we would like to thank our spokesperson Eric Saade for being a unconditional public advocate. Your voices are heard. Nevertheless, we are very happy to announce another edition of Fantasifestivalen to be held to determine the next Swedish entrant, even though we have not yet come to a conclusion about the finalised format. But in any case, the contest provides an invaluable opportunity for Swedish artists to gain international exposure. Our participation helps to nurture and highlight emerging talents, offering them a stage to perform in front of a national and potential global audience and we do not want to take that away from anyone."

Lietuvos nacionalinis radijas ir televizija can confirm the Baltic nation's participation in the 44th North Vision Song Contest, set to be held in 
Andorra. This comes after the stepping down of longtime Head of Delegation Dominykas after seven editions. The announcement comes alongside the appointment of a new HoD by the name of Suyana Stauskaitė. She addressed the local press in a conference this morning and said, "I'm excited to be taking on this role and helping our nation achieve success on a continental scale. I've spoken to Dominykas and thanked him for his time as HoD...". There is no word on whether or not the nation will be reviving its popular national selection Lietuvos Garsai, or if they plan on continuing to select their entries internally. However, the broadcaster has mentioned that the decision on the selection method would be made this week.
