Did you read the new voting rules for Eurovision? It will sum up the rankings from the results of Televoting + Juries, and not anymore with points I think this will block out political voting system I think and results are more mixed. E.g. In the old system the combined points would have been calculated like this: Estonia 12 points + 0 points = 12 points Germany 0 points + 0 points = 0 points In the new system the ranks would be calculated like this: Estonia: 1st rank + 25th rank = 26th rank Germany: 11th + 11th = 22nd rank of a country, of course. It's not the results of the full voting. Then.. the scoreboard will be the same as past years. What do you think? www.esctoday.com/48047/eurovision-rules-change-juries-are-ranking-all-the-songs/It's probably okay but I'm not sure if it would totally block political voting. maybe... what is sure it's that if for example a geo-political country receiver as.. Moldova gets Points from Romania may be because (still e.g.) TELEVOTE: JURY: It's 13 Points, but if it's the first ranked with points it will get the big Points. With that formula, Moldova is 1st in Televote and 10th in Jury. 1+10= 11th and that knocks out Moldova from Romanian pointing ;D

Less ballads, comparing to Baku. Marco Mengoni could do excellent with a power ballad, seeing what he was capable of in Sanremo.

I still can't believe these 2 songs (from 1996 and 2004) have participated in the Azeri national selection just with another singers and quite another style. How can they allow those entries to be part of their NS ?
