This is a forum for song contests and not a song contest + a statement for tolerance and acceptance is always a good thing sorry I forgot to write it lol... I dont think its the perfect place for that, sry but it looks like a statement for political problems and it makes the impression that the forum is based on it How is spreading love, tolerance and awareness a bad and/or political thing? What bothers you seeing the flag?

We deserve to at least have a period of time where we feel appreciated, as every day thousands and hundreds of LGBTQ+ people all around the world get mocked or humiliated because they express themselves the way they are. So if you can't tolerate an LGBTQ+ flag for a month then who are you, really? I tolerate it... Im just not happy with the fact that this forum like the ESC is constantly used for political statements.

The majority of this community is LGBTQ+ so surely there's no problem in celebrating that? No politics, just celebrating who we are here as a safe place, especially for those who don't feel safe/able to do so in their real lives. Even if that doesn't apply to you, it's a harmless sign of solidarity that doesn't really make any political statement because someone's existence isn't political. But well

forum.songcontests.eu/thread/25846/themeovision
I am looking at running a contest called Themeovision... Which is unique to all the other contests, and how you may ask? I will explain
Each contest will have a different theme. Such as one contest has to have a band, or one contest has to be sung in its countries native language or maybe has to be cover versions. The first theme is set but I will announce the theme once we have players. The winning country will not just host but will pick there countries theme for the next contest from a possible of 6 choices. Dm me for any questions or leave them below

Loving yourself has nothing to do with politics if tolerance is considered a political statement nowadays then maybe we just live in sh*tty world?

Loving yourself has nothing to do with politics if tolerance is considered a political statement nowadays then maybe we just live in sh*tty world? I think nobody understands what I mean here... I dont have a problem with loving yourself, I dont have a problem with showing tolerance and in my opinion this forum shows a lot of tolerance. It is a good thing to show commitment for something like that.
I did not know that its just for a month ok, I thought it should be the new figurehead of this forum. For me its just important that things like a song contest or a forum like that should not show too clear political messages, bcs thats not the main thing of this forum or song contests, its the music and to bring people of all cultures together and I think some people lose sight of that.

I would not normally get involved with conversations like this on here but feel like i should add my bit to this one.
As someone who finds the forum as a place I can identify as my true self where i can nowhere else I do not see how having the pride flag there for one month is in anyway political. It only becomes even slightly political when people start saying it is and bringing politics into it when there is no need to.
