Our Maltese language is similar to Arabic, especially the numbers!! ;D So many different countries took over Malta at war, mainly the Arabs where here for the longest time, therefore our language got influenced by them the most flag italy, , , and also, took over Malta for a little while, also influencing our language ..and Maltese was created ^ ^ Though I must admit, listening to Italian on T.V...is as if I understand everything. So many words dont change in Maltese such as : Pero (but), Serjeta (seriously), Adoloxxenti (adoloscence), Superjuri (superior), Ezattament ( exactly), Allora ( So), etc.. though when it comes to Arabic language, I understand nothing-.- except for a few numbers from 1 till 10 Is your 11-20 somewhat similar to hidash, ethnash, talathash, arbaatash, kamustash, sitaatash, sabaatash, tamanthash, tisaatash and ashrin?

Sorry I didnt mean 1-10 only ( cause if Maltese numbers from 1 till 10 resemble those of Arabic, then its obvious that all numbers are somewhat similar! ^ ^ ) from 11-20, they go like this in Maltese: hdax, tnax, tlettax, erbatax, hmistax, sittax, sbatax,, tmintax, dsatax, ghoxrin

ahah! Maby the main reason that we dont understand Arab people talking is because of the difference in the pronunciation. For example :there is a HUGE difference when we say erba and they say arbaa. We go like..what?? Whenever we are abroad, the general idea of people, think we are Spanish cause of the way we look and the way our language sounds <----( honestly cant see the resemblance in the language ) Maltese is very hard, I honestly prefer English so much more than Maltese. Lots of rules in the language. Not many local students do well in Maltese infact But exams here are hard , infact EVERYONE applies to do the Edexcel General Certificate of education Exams. That way we get A's and B's in the British exams, and C's and D's In Maltese ones , (talking about Ordinary, Intermediate & Advanced level exams such as Accounting, English, Physics, Biology, Pure Mathematics etc..)

WTF... just found out there's a Filipino-Thai singer called "Christina Aguilar"... I think I heard this from somewhere but cool. She'll easily get mistaken to the more prominent Christina Aguilera though. Hehe I know this singer for quite a while, but I don't listen to her music though
