Every time I look at the weather forecast it looks worse and worse.
Beast from the East 2 is certainty going to make its presence felt over the next few days.
My area is predicted to get between 15 - 25 cm of snow. I know to a lot of people that won't sound like much but we have not had any snow since the last beast from the east in 2018.

eurovision.tv/story/aws-lead-singer-ors-siklosi-diedSuch a young and talented soul left us yesterday. AWS was my winner in ESC 2018, and I was shocked upon hearing the news on Örs's death. Apparently, he was suffering from leukaemia. Rest in peace, Örs and thank you very much for your artistic legacy

RIP Örs Siklósi
I hate that I'm even having to make this post, damn this fucking hurts... I'm sure a lot of you already know by now but Örs Siklósi, the frontman of Eurovision 2018 participants AWS passed away yesterday at the age of 29 after a battle with leukaemia. Most of you know me as a predominantly an EDM fan but I do also have a soft spot for metalcore music and AWS was perhaps one of the bands I listened to most. Örs was a incredible vocalist and even if you don't speak Hungarian you can feel the sheer emotion delivered through his voice. As cliché as it sounds their music seriously helped me through an incredibly tough time over the last few years so this news is especially painful. Condolences to his friends and family. This is of course the second tragic loss in just over a week to many in the forum community after the sudden passing of SOPHIE last week. It's an awful sobering reminder that none of us are promised tomorrow. In his own words "In these hard times it’s even more important to take care of each other. We should pay more attention to our loved ones because life is short and we never know when any of them can pass." Tell the people you love that you do while you still can.

I was saddened to hear about this earlier in the morning. He was a great person and I'll always remember him performing barefoot (and at ESC too I believe)....

Today is my first snow day as a teacher. Also marks a new era of snow days when we have set work for the children to do at home. Snow days where you are at home not working are a thing of the past.

Forgive me if I'm mistaken but weren't all the schools in UK shut now anyway? That is what the government wants people to believe. Most schools are so full with key worker children they have almost 50% of the school in. I have 5 children in my class still at the moment.

Let me revive this thread with some quite shocking news from Liechtenstein that I read in today's newspaper: The Duke (hope that's his title in English) said a few days ago that he's not a fan of homosexuality - which doesn't surprise me because he's known for being ultraconservative - also stating that "gay couples adopting boys is not unproblematic". And if the parliament would vote yes towards gay marriage ( Liechtenstein doesn't have gay marriage nor abortion so far - now guess why) he would totally veto making the result invalid (imagine that shock I just had ). Apparently a Liechtensteiner newspaper already called that undemocratic since in a recent poll 80 % of all people were in favour of gay marriage.
