 Belgium has confirmed participation in Eurovision Song Contest 2012. The artist was selected internally by the broadcaster ( VRT) in November, 2011. They choose a 16 year old singer called Iris. Her real name is Laura Van den Bruel. Songs for her could be submitted until January 16. She sang two songs during a live televised show on March 17 where televotes decided which song would be performed by her in Baku. Safety Net
The first song, Safety Net, is about a young girl That longs for security in the ever faster moving and insecure world she lives in. She wants to get a grip and feel secure. Eventually, she finds it with someone she knows. From now on, she can trust on her "safety net".
Would You?
In the other song, Would you?, Iris Doubts the sincerity of her lover. She feels her That relationship has Reached a 'certain, Crucial point and was wondering what her boyfriend would do if she left him. Would he miss her, like any other boy would? Or not?
