North Cyprus is not a country, it is not recognized as a country by the rest of the world, not by the United Nations or the European Union. Rather, it is a Turkish occupied territory.

And their music omfg i love it + a country that cares about the happiness of it's inhabitants more than about the economical success in the world + a country that has some of the strictest rules against environmental destruction (for example mountaineering is strictly forbidden on most mountains, for environmental and religious reasons, or most forests are protected from lumbering again for environmental and religious reasons) But I agree that a position between too world powers isn't comfortable at all

Countries I love and have visited: United Kingdom - my homeland Thailand Taiwan Laos USA Spain Norway Portugal Countries I love based on principles of UK history: Malta - the Victoria Cross on the upper-left of the Maltese flag is for their helping the UK during the 2nd World War and was rewarded by our Royal Family. Nepal - a special connection between the UK and a branch of the Nepalese called Gurkha who also defended the UK during the 2nd World War and still to this day work with the British army but are not part of the Commonwealth - they were never part of the Empire either. India - we have a massive history and connection with India and much influences of English in Hindi language, a lot of people in the UK have backgrounds from India and Indian culture is adopted into the UK, most particularly food. Countries I love but have never been to: Canada Australia New Zealand Sweden France Poland Estonia Germany Japan South Korea Indonesia Vietnam Finland Denmark Iceland Ireland - my great-grandma was from Lake Áthlone basically anywhere in EuropeCountries I would like to visit and have been to (technically) but never left the airport as I was there in transit: United Arab Emirates (Flown via Dubai 6 times) Countries whos GOVERNMENT I hate: North Korea Saudi Arabia Syria
