Denmark has confirmed participation in Eurovision Song Contest 2012. The national final of "Dansk Melodi Grand Prix" took place at the Gigantium Arena in Aalborg on January 21, 2012. The show was hosted by Emil Thorup & Louise Wolff. There was only be one big final, no semifinals. Entries could be submitted between August 16 and September 26. All 10 entries was revealed on January 5. On January 9, one of the entries was disqualified, making it 9 in the final instead.50% televote and 50% jury as used. An international jury was used with members from Russia, Norway, Germany and Azerbaijan (the last 4 winning countries). There was also a Danish jury. The two jury groups made up 50% of the total result. In the final, 6 songs was eliminated in a first round. The 3 most liked songs then perform once again. Soluna Samay won with her song "Should've Known Better".
