can read the latest news and facts about the NVSC.
Here, I'll be informing you abouth the rumors, changes,
song selections and more that happened to the NVSC.
So don't miss it!
The Journal will be published every few days in the evening.

NVSC Journal - 30th June
NBU Reveals Allocation Draw Date
Today the NBU revealed that the allocation draw
for the semi finals will be held on the 8th of July.
To date 43 nations are waiting to get their starting positions
in the semi finals. The big five are already qualified.
The NBU didn't reveal if the starting positions of the big five
will be drawn along with the semi final positions.
North Vision in Concert
The submissions for NViC will be closed on the 2nd of July.
Quick Nation Review
 Hungarys broadcaster MTC officially confirmed
Laura Cserpes' song. She will sing "Most kezdődik el" for
Hungary in Winterthur.
 After the hard criticism of some nations
the Icelandic broadcaster holds a national selection.
The criticized song "Little Talks" is still participating in it.
 Swedens big national selection "Fantasifestivalen"
finished with it's winner. Malena Ernman will represent
the country with her song "One Step from Paradise".
The song got mixed reactions. The song is expected
to be the jury winner in this edition. |

The NVSC Journal - 3rd July 2013NBU reveals Scoreboard for #3
After some discussions the NBU revealed that there will
be a Scoreboard for the third edition of the North Vision Song Contest.
You can watch a sneak peak of the scoreboard right here.
NBU needs spokespersons for #3
After the announcement that the third edition of NVSC will
contain a Scoreboard the NBU calls for a spokesperson
for every country in this edition. A few countries immediately
revealed their spokespersons for the NVSC.

Quick Nation Review
 Liechtenstein confirmed that they will host
the National Selection "Der späte Knüller" again in the next edition of NVSC.
There will be 2 Semi Finals and a Grand Final with 3 votings:
National Radio Stations, Juries and Televoting.
"We want to reach the state of Fantasifestivalen" - a spokesman
of the broadcaster said in an interview with the NVSC Journal.
 Austria finished its National Selection with the singer
Christina Stürmer and "Ich lebe" which she will perform at
the contest in the neighborcountry Switzerland.
 The Ukrainian song had been chosen in the
National Selection "Pisnya Dlya". "Get Real With My Heart" is the
song Eduard Romanyuta will perform in Winterthur.
 Estonia revealed Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
to be the spokespersons for their country. The NBU
wasn't sure if they should allow this and revealed that
the spokespersons of the countries must have roots from there. |

Kids North Vision to be heldA few days ago the NBU revealed that the idea byEstonian broadcaster ERR will be permitted. The first editionof the contest will be held in Estonia. The rules say thatOnly singers under 16 years will be allowed to participate.Singers nor songs shouldn't be revealed until July 17th.A few nations stated that they won't be participating becauseof the Youth Protection Act. Others stated that there's lowinterest for the contest in their countries.If you want your nation to take part in itplease check this out then! To date 15 countries confirmed.Swiss broadcaster reveals unofficial recap designOn the third of July the Swiss broadcaster revealed a shortvideo where a test of a recap design can be seen.The NBU stated that this is not the official design.However we can look forward to the new recap design!Watch the video in full length:
Quick Nation Review The Greek delegation already arrived in
Geneva to discuss the problems of the Greek broadcaster ERT
with the NBU. However Paola is still in Cyprus
preparing for the big NVSC show.
 After Poland revealed its artist some nations
complained that an artist with no relation to Poland is
allowed to participate. The NBU stated that they did a
mistake and immediately rejected Polands chosen artist.
Polands broadcaster didn't react to the allegations yet.
 Monaco will be back for NVSC #4!
Monaco will hold a national selection to choose who
will represent the country in the next NVSC. |

NVSC Journal - 11th JulyNorth Vision Song Contest SF1 Started
The third edition of the NVSC just begun today with Semi Final 1.
The recap has a new design. 21 countries are competing in
this Semi Final. Please make sure you voted if your country
is participating in this Semi Final!

Confirmations Opened And "Swapping"
As NVSC #3 started you can now confirm for NVSC #4.
This includes a new ability for countries participating since
edition one. You can swap your country with others.

Kids North Vision - 20 Countries Confirmed
Already 20 countries confirmed for the first edition of
Kids North Vision. The show still needs acts to confirm.

NVSC Journal - 16th July 2013NVSC #3: Semi Final 1 Is Over
The first Semi Final of the third NVSC is officially over.
The results have been calculated and the qualifiers have been determined. Congratulations to all countries who passed and a big
thank you to all those countries participating but didn't make it
to the Grand Final. Here you can watch the results
of the first Semi Final.
The Irish Case
After it has been revealed that Ireland is an official qualifier
some broadcasters became mad. Their argumentation
is that Leona Lewis isn't allowed to represent Ireland
without a National Selection. On the other hand the
Irish broadcaster states that the NBU has proved that
Leona is from Irish decent and officially is allowed
to represent the country.
Belgium is about to withdraw if Ireland will be
winning the competition. Also other countries for
example San Marino are upset with that case.
Confirmed countries for NVSC #4
The submissions for the forth edition of the NVSC
are opened. There are already 33 nations which have
been confirmed to participate.
