Because I saw French, Spanish, Dutch, Greek and German Discussion threads and I can't open a Filipino thread 'cause nobody here (except for me and Robbie) knows Filipino so I decided to open a 'Phones Discussion' thread instead. We can discuss whatever things (news, comparison of specs, software, updates, etc.) regarding phones. Okay, I'll start.
Here's a brief history of the phones I used:
(2001) Nokia 3310 - My very first phone. I remember my mom and sister bought it for me while I was home resting 'cause I was sick. Space Impact was the very first game I played on it. Years passed, I gave it to my father ('cause at that time he was in need of a phone) and it was stolen from him when he left it unattended in our old furniture shop.
(2006) Nokia 6020 - I just like it 'cause it has 5 games and it has a camera (which by that time was a big thing) so out of my impulse, I bought it.
(2007) Samsung X160 - I'm a big fan of flip phones before so I bought it. Sadly, it was taken away from me (along with some money) just weeks after I bought it when some guys hold me up while walking at 6 p.m. en route to my house. I can still remember the gun being cocked in front of me. I had a moderate to severe trauma in walking alone for months.
(2007) Nokia 7360 - A part of the L'Amour collection of Nokia. Since my dad offered to buy me a phone, he let me choose between the Sony Ericsson W200 (I think) and the 7360 and guess what I chose?
(c. 2008-2009) Nokia 5200 - My sort of high school graduation gift to myself. Sold it to my college classmate last year (I think).
(2010) Samsung (Corby Mate) B3310 - not officially called the "Corby Mate" in the Philippines but I like to use the name still. I bought it 'cause of the unique design. It's flex broke while I'm working and since then I didn't use it again and is currently stored at my house.
(2011) BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8820 - As I said with the X160, I'm a huge fan of flip phones and have been wanting to have one again, this time with a camera flash and WiFi so I bought a second hand 8820 online. BTW, this phone isn't available in the Philippines but luckily someone posted it online. It came from United Arab Emirates (because of the Etisalat (AE) logo appearing every time I open the phone).
(c. 2011-2012) Motorola Razr V3i - It's originally my cousin's (father side) but since it was broken and was just lying around, I asked to have it and let my other cousin (mother's side) have it repaired for me. I used it for just a short period of time and is currently stored in my house.
(2012) BlackBerry Pearl 9105 3G - The phone I used in my first work after the flex on my B3310 broke. Sold it after almost 2 years being with me. Farewell, BlackBerry.
(2011) Apple iPhone 3GS - My current phone. Before, I only use it as my iPod.
I'm currently eyeing on these phones (but I bet I won't buy them anytime soon):
Apple iPhone 4 or 4S (but not the 5 -.- Might change my mind when the 5S or the budget iPhones comes out)
Sony Xperia U
Samsung Galaxy S Duos
