When my grandparents were born, Moldova was part of Romania, so theoretically, they are Romanians, because Romanians = Moldovans, Transylvanians, Bukovinians, etc. All the citizens living in Romania, all are called romanians, just called different to make difference of the regions in which they were living. That's like idk... being called bavarian, but you are actually German (sorry if the example is bad, i hope you got my point) When my parents were born, Moldova was already part of USSR, and i don't even know what to consider in this case.... because people from Moldova started being called Moldovans. And this is how Moldovans (nationality) appeard. While we were part of USSR, they tried to say that Moldovans =/= Romanians. When i was born, Moldova was already independent, and the Moldovans as nationality already officially existed since we became independent. BUT, historically and theoretically, we are still Romanians. I think it s a bit confusing, but now in Romania, moldovans are called people living in the region of Moldova in Romania, while people in Moldova are called Bassarabians, to not get confused. We still talk the same language. But so known Transnistria, or people who are making pro russian propaganda, say that Moldovan is a language too... but actually it's just a dialect. Now Moldova is just a poor country... it's half of the old region Moldova which got separated and all what remained, because some parts from this separated part were even given to Ukraine Long story, i could talk and explain a lot about it but ain't nobody got time for that I guess it's a similar history as with old Macedonians and present Macedonians.

My great great grand parents used to own a very wealthy mill in the victorian era and they married into the royal family.... By the way one of the brothers tried to land one of the ye old planes of the past on the roof of the mill because he was really drunk. He was obviously an alcoholic
