And this is why small contests will stay small, because you need to promote your ass, walk the walk, shake them booty, and attract more members, who will go and compete. Big contests hit their limits, and so people will go to smaller contests. You need a business plan. I've got one, and it's rejected. But I'm gonna make a strong, ready to go forum, whenever you like it, or without you. ^^ I used Youtube and the wikia for my contest. One shouldn't only rely on the forums to promote their contest. Plus, some users prefer smaller contests. They are easier to manage. Oh yes, small contests are also nice If I image how much work still comes at EMF.. I'm happy to have Rick with me ^^

And if I'm correct, you're not bound to sponsors, to add other themes and subjects to these forums, I guess? Promotion, Organization, Categorization, and bootylicious, is what you need. I make money of my other 3 forums, and that is not little money... Listen, I respect your status on the other forums. This is a forum, where we all should feel confident for what choice there has been taken. It's not an objective call to say that the #1-choice is more clever. We all have our own opinions! Nothing is perfect.

I don't believe that these forums should make money. It should only be for fun and the love of Eurovision

I didn't, but these forums are stuck on the same users, new blood is necessary.
Me: I've got around 32.500 members on a forum, so it is very active, and loads of fun.
There are I'm sure, some thousands who love Music and ESC, and would love to join a contest, but their attention spans are short, so you need to lure them in like a fish, and have them bait and hooked to your contest, forums, YouTube, whatever.

New blood can be necessary on so much else.
Some good things also come to an end!

I don't believe that these forums should make money. It should only be for fun and the love of Eurovision I really agree on this reaction. We aren't a company or something, this is just a place to have fun with other users and find topics about your favourite contests & an extensive part of the Eurovision Song Contest. Most of the users at this website are between 13-20 years old, so that ages doesn't need business - and the people who are older have probably a job or a study and shouldn't need money (the admins should earn that money of course, but still...). I think that this forum would be very unsociable when it was made for money, so I really hope this ideas won't come true.

That's not what I was telling, gosh ask before stating then.
It's like a business: Be innovative, make promotion, be organized > Leads to a good business. If that's used for the forums, we attract new members, that's all I had to say.

We ARE innovative.
We're just gonna require heart for this, not only brain.
There's just already becoming bad reputation after this discussion, and that there's a big group of people disagreeing for the change.
