Now that I have I want to add my two cents: I agree with Rick that countries with small music industries: Monaco, Luxembourg, Andorra and Liechtestein should be allowed to borrow. Faroe Islands and Moldova should have independent songs and so should Cyprus in my opinion, I found at least 10 artists from Cyprus. I do think that whatever the EBU lets in should be here as well (so that means Lebanon and Israel) and also Morocco but not so it could take Loreen. The mos timportant thing is the whole ancestry thing which is stupid and should be banned

Moldova > RomaniaI disagree that Moldova should borrow from Romania and that's because it's enough to look at the Moldovan NFs. Nobody knew about Aliona Moon but she had a wonderful song. There are dozens of Moldovan singers. Plus, excepting osome things, I think Moldova is more related to Russia than to Romania, imo. Greece > CyprusAs you can see in ESC, Greece and Cyprus could be defined a single nation. I think it should remain the way it is allowed now, but I'm okay with both ways. Of course! Very fair! -.- Greece or Cyprus alone have more singers or songs than Moldova.

I want no states to borrow something from someone else unless the state is very small (like Andorra, Liechtenstein, San Marino and more), and the artist's parents at least come from these countries. Nothing else. No or if no connection.

Greece or Cyprus alone have more singers or songs than Moldova. They don't have more singers than Moldova. Moldovan singers just aren't know so much, but you'd find thousands.. Wonder why the national selection for moldova has got 2 semifinals, + each former ESC singer. I said what I had to with Aliona Moon. Greece and Cyprus should borrow because basically they share the same music industry. Excepting this, Greece took part in ESC with Cypriot singers. Just search for Moldovan singers and that's what you get: Aliona Moon Arsenie Todiraș Dan Bălan Radu Marian Pasha Parfeny Radu Sîrbu Ion Suruceanu Natalia Barbu Maria Bieşu Petru Jelihovschi Geta Burlacu Nelly Ciobanu Natalia Gordienko Alexandrina Hristov Vika Jigulina Anastasia Lazariuc Sasha Lopez Valentina Naforniţă Maria Sarabaş Cleopatra Stratan And many many many others. Hasn't Moldova singers?
