Globalvision already has a reputation for being rather strict. So I decided to create some rules that should go down well in my contest Voting: Voting is just like any other contest. If a participant fails to vote on time with no good reason (such as forgetfulness and holidays), they will lose 20 points of their score. If a participant fails to vote on time with a good reason (such as loss of internet connection or personal issues), they will only lose 5 points of their score. Semi-finalsThere can only be a maximum of 21 countries in the final. If the number of participants exceeds 21, semi-finals will be held. If there are 11 or 12 countries in each semi-final, there will be 14 finalists. If there are 13 or 14 countries in each semi-final, there will be 16 finalists. If there are 15+ countries in each semi-final, there will be 20 finalists.
There can not be more than 40 users participating in my contest. (Though I doubt that will ever happen ) There will never be an automatic qualifier. ArtistsAn artist is only allowed to represent the country s/he is living in. Overused artists and songsI want the songs in my contest to be original. But instead of using tight rules for this preference, I will let you decide whether an artist or song is overused or not with a poll, if needed.

I've added a new borrowing rule: American and British artists are not allowed to represent Ireland, even if they have ancestors from there.

I've added a new borrowing rule: American and British artists are not allowed to represent Ireland, even if they have ancestors from there. Should the same apply for Italy?

Maybe it could be a general thing depending on how close the connection is? Like for example; Britney Spears can't represent Malta as they have a very distant connection. Marina & the Diamonds can represent Greece as Marina's father is Greek and she's lived there for a couple of years. Probably not the best examples but I guess you know what I mean

ArtistsAn artist is only allowed to represent the country s/he is living in. It turns out that I had completely glanced over this rule when I wrote that last post. The final rule in GbSC is that a country cannot be represented by an artist who was not born there.
