This is a thread about the SaS-news related to Michigan
TV broadcaster/Radio station: WOMC (TV/Radio broadcaster located in Detroit)
Musical format: Classic Hits
Artist: Madonna
The TV-Radio Broadcaster, WOMC, has now officially confirmed their announcement of their second artist. Followed the steps of what Montana did at the noon.
The next artist makes it the second official SaS #2-representant!
Now this US state has arguably served the highest budget for an artist submission in this contest's history, it is none other than Madonna herself, the Queen of Pop, who has officially signed up for this contest by the instincs of suggestions and our tastes for her music!
Madonna is a multi-talented singer-songwriter and has been goin' through a drastic but tremendous career. Serving hit singles pursued with Grammy Awards.
At the previous edition, unfortunately the state didn't qualified with the other multi-talented singer-songwriter ( Jack White). So Michigan will be going all-in this time!
Due to her high cost and time limit due to her music career, joined sponsors are helping out those big costs for what the contest shall seduce to make the entertainment quite the hugest!
Special thanks to Shovkovskyi/Peter and Liev for suggesting her as an artist!

"Papa Don't Preach" is a dance-pop song with instrumentation from acoustic,
electric, and rhythm guitars, keyboards, and string arrangements.
The lyrics show Madonna's interest in her Roman Catholic upbringing,
as the song theme is about a teenage girl who admits to her father that she is pregnant and
refuses to have an abortion or give up the baby for adoption despite what her friends are telling
her to do. It is constructed in a verse-chorus form, with a bridge before the third and final chorus.
At the beginning, she addresses her father directly, asking him to talk to her as an adult, "You should know
by now that I'm not a baby". The transition to the chorus employs a more dramatic voice with a higher range,
ending nearly in cries as she sings the word "Please". Leading to the chorus, Madonna
switches to a pleading voice, singing the song's main hook in a high tone. During the bridge, the song
features a Spanish-inspired rhythm, one of the earliest examples of the influence that
Hispanic music had on Madonna's musical style.
As the song's popularity increased in the US, so did the criticism and support it
received from groups concerned with pregnancy and abortion. In July 1986, shortly after the release
of the video for "Papa Don't Preach", Madonna commented on the controversy
surrounding the song, to music critic Stephen Holden from The New York Times:
"Papa Don't Preach" is a message song that everyone is going to take the wrong way.
Immediately they're going to say I am advising every young girl to go out and get pregnant. When I first
heard the song, I thought it was silly. But then I thought, wait a minute, this song is really about a girl
who is making a decision in her life. She has a very close relationship with her father and wants
to maintain that closeness. To me it's a celebration of life. It says, 'I love you, father, and I love this man
and this child that is growing inside me'. Of course, who knows how it will end? But at least it starts off positive.
★ Lyrics ★
Papa I know you're going to be upset
'Cause I was always your little girl
But you should know by now
I'm not a baby
You always taught me right from wrong
I need your help, daddy please be strong
I may be young at heart
But I know what I'm saying
The one you warned me all about
The one you said I could do without
We're in an awful mess, and I don't mean maybe - please
Papa don't preach, I'm in trouble deep
Papa don't preach, I've been losing sleep
But I made up my mind, I'm keeping my baby, oh
I'm gonna keep my baby, mmm...
He says that he's going to marry me
We can raise a little family
Maybe we'll be all right
It's a sacrifice
But my friends keep telling me to give it up
Saying I'm too young, I ought to live it up
What I need right now is some good advice, please
Papa don't preach, I'm in trouble deep
Papa don't preach, I've been losing sleep
But I made up my mind, I'm keeping my baby, oh
I'm gonna keep my baby, mmm...
Daddy, daddy if you could only see
Just how good he's been treating me
You'd give us your blessing right now
'Cause we are in love, we are in love, so please
Papa don't preach, I'm in trouble deep
Papa don't preach, I've been losing sleep
But I made up my mind, I'm keeping my baby, oh
I'm gonna keep my baby, mmm...
Papa don't preach, I'm in trouble deep
Papa don't preach, I've been losing sleep
Oh, I'm gonna keep my baby, ooh
Don't you stop loving me daddy
I know, I'm keeping my baby
