This is a thread about the SaS-news related to IndianaTV broadcaster/Radio station: WLFW (TV/Radio broadcaster located in Chandler)
Musical format: CountryArtist: Steve WarinerThe TV-Radio Broadcaster, WLFW, has now officially confirmed their announcement of their second artist. Making it the eighteenth official SaS #2-representant!
The submission has been brought out by the internal tastes from the TV-Radio Broadcaster's HoD and the SaS-creator! This country guy we have here is not just a newcomer for this Billboard-business of reaching to the top for his singles! Nope, his music career is accompanied by the companies of MCA Records & RCA Records, making him good for 10 no. 1-singles! We're indeed talking about Steve Wariner. He'll be the successor after the first Hoosier (Indianan) to represent the homestate, who was Jeremy Camp, when he did the state proud for a good 14th place with 46 points in the ★ GRAND FINAL ★ with his song "Beautiful One"
So we'll be very careful by picking the right song for this entrant and what hopefully can do at least as well as Jeremy's, but we might as well take that risk and fail, since our Musical Format might not fall into everybody's tastes! Read more down below and click on the specific link if you want. ★ Biography ★ Discography ★ Photos ★Song: "What If I Said" feat. Anita CochranThe song features a guest participant, Anita Cochran, who will be collaborating together with Steve in this whole grand prix, with a song which topped Country charts in both Billboard's Hot Country Songs and the Canadian RPM Country Tracks charts! It reached #59 in Billboard's Hot 100 and thereby being Anita's only hit single to do the charts great!
It has been written and produced by Anita herself and Jim Ed Norman.
Although it has only been featured on the female singer's album, which is called 'Back To You', it's Steve's first chart entry in three years, as well as his first #1 since his 1989-hit single "I Got Dreams".★ Lyrics ★We've been friends for a long long time You tell me your secrets and I'll tell you mine She's left you all alone And you feel like no one cares But I have never failed you I've always been there You tell your story It sounds a bit like mine It's the same old situation It happens every time Can't we see it oh maybe you and me Is what's meant to be Do we disagree What if I told you what if I said that I love you How would you feel what would you think What would we do Do we dare to cross that line between your heart and mine Or would I lose a friend or find a love that would never end What if I said She doesn't love you oh it's' plain to see I can read between the lines of what you're telling me He doesn't hold you the way a woman should be held How long can I go on keeping these feelings to myself What if I told you what if I said that I love you How would you feel what would you think What would we do Do we dare to cross that line between your heart and mine Or would I lose a friend or find a love that would never end What if I said Oh we've both had our share of lonliness So whose to say that we can't have a little happiness And if I found that in you It would make my dreams come true Or would you walk away Hear what I have to say What if I told you what if I said that I love you How would you feel what would you think What would we do Do we dare to cross that line between your heart and mine I've always wondered from the day we met What if I said What if I said What if I said
