 Malta has confirmed participation in Eurovision Song Contest 2012. Malta decided their entry on February 4, 2012. The national selection consisted of a Semi-Final on February 3 followed by a final the very next day. 24 songs took part in the semifinal and 16 of them moved on to the final. Songs could be submitted from October 20. 62 entries then performed in front of a jury who selected 24 of them to go through to the Semi-Final.
