My dream too is to go to Eurovision.. just once! It'll be a night I'll never forget! It definitely won't be 2014, but when I do my exams in 2016 and go to college who knows I'd like to fly an Irish flag in the air, along with my favourite song's country's flag! And just to be part of the fun Shame I won't be at 2014 contest, but as always I will be watching the two semi finals on RTÉ and then the final with my family (my dad despises Eurovision sometimes But he watched it this year and he liked it!)

Regardless, my family like Eurovision and it's always nice for us to watch all the shows, eating food and discussing Eurovision together. None of them listen to the songs beforehand though. Especially my mum she never wants to know what happens prior , always like 'please don't tell me the songs'!!. I'd be raising a pirate flag!! . When I go to Eurovision I'll wear my union jack hat!! (if you watch the Friends episode where they all go to London it'll be the same hat Joey buys ).

One of my life's ambitions is to go to Eurovision at least ONCE!! Nearest experience for me was going to a Lordi concert and they performed 'Hard Rock Halleujah'. Whether you like them or not, I watched their performance and understood why they won it was amazing!!. 'Tornero' remains my fave from that year . That's a MUST for coming to this, I'm telling ya! People were all nice and happy. The craziest fans were with lots of Eurovision-equipments and paintings on their face symbolizing their nationality and/or fav. country by entry! "Party For Everybody" was playing when I was arriving the stadium outside, while there were a queue of ESC-fans from, not only anywhere in Europe, but there were also Australian fans! Here I was when I should get my seat and watch the show live for the SF1 I was sitting next to some Danish fans, Azeri fans, Croatian fans and Swedish fans, which the latter ones made me do a favor for them: To take a picture while they had the stage in the background. It felt very nice and calm, when they made me do this, because I wouldn't imagine some other places where people would do a favor for me on them too. Some random fan (perhaps from Austria) gave out small Austrian flags to the crowds for cheering for Natália Kelly. Aside from this Denmark-scarf I was wearing, I also bought a ESC 2014-pillow when I was heading back home again when this Semi Final ended. Many Dutch people were at the center of the audition, mainly because that's where Anouk were and sang her beautiful song There were at least as many Dutch and Irish fans as there were Danish and Swedish fans! When The Netherlands was called at the end of the Final qualification from SF1, there's been more noise on Anouk than with Emmelie. That was due to the lesser odds of witnessing the country to qualify in background for its tremendously bad stats for 9 years of being a non-qualifier! Even for my own ambitions, I'm not quite the spontanous person. But when I do, I could do my screaming so happily till I'm almost getting a sore throat for the endurance, after what was happening!

This year my grandmother was in Australia when Eurovision was on, but she said she could watch it (days after)! My dad used to like Eurovision but not really anymore. He loves the voting parts. Like you, we eat food and discuss the acts.. when Krista came on stage and was near the kiss I was like oh god My father's favourite was Estonia, but she ended low He also liked he was like ''WTF'' at Greece But when voting came that's when we all (my sister was in by then) started commenting on the usual voting blocs..

With my family often my mum likes the silly entries, but she favoured The Netherlands and my grandmother favours the ballads yet she loved Greece best . She also liked Finland, whereas my mum both said both songs sucked . My grandmother even complained that Marco was very boring . But they all thought I was insane disliking Cascada. My brother favoured Hungary and everyone liked Albania, which was nice for me!! ^^ (even though my mum said the guitarist looked pervy ).

Sounds like you always have a fun evening, with so many controversial opinions and discussions I usually watch ESC alone. Sometimes my parents join me, but they're not really interested in it Actually I prefer when they don't watch it, then I don't have to answer all their (silly) questions

They sat down for a while to watch but they didn't seem to like it very much. Anyway they don't speak English and are not interested in songs in foreign languages...I lmao when my father exclaimed in astonishment that Sara (Serbia) performed in her underwear.....
