Here is a thread for rules to be shown, challenged, and announced.
Rules for selected acts: -
- For a singer to represent a country they must have been born there, have both parents from there, or have lived there for a significant amount of time; exceptions can be argued if it's believed the act would realistically represent the country without following the mentioned criteria (though, if it's felt that this is not the case, the act will not be able to take part).
- Bands must have at least half of their members to qualify individuality to represent the country ( One Direction, can not represent Pakistan because only one member has Pakistani Roots)
- If you plan to select a singer, that another has equal or bigger claims to, you must ask the person with that country for permission - this includes European countries (you will need to ask the NVSC user with that country).
- The act can be chosen internally, or via a national selection.
Rules for songs: -
- Songs sent must have been released after or in the year 2000.
- The songs sent must be original (not a cover)
- A song can only be used for the country once.
- The song can be chosen internally, or via a national selection.
- A song cannot be announced for an edition, until the previous edition has ended completely.
Rules for users: -
- You must vote where you're needed.
- Only one country per user.
- If you do not take part or say nothing about your participation for two consecutive editions, you're country will become free unless you re-confirm.
- If you won an edition, you are able to host the next. If you are unable it will be offered to the 2nd placed country, then the 3rd ext.
Borrowing Rules: -
- If you are borrowing from a country, the entry must be sent to @douzepointa, Vaios, or whoever the current host is, to make sure the act would realistically represent the country you want it to.
- The borrowing rules are as follows:
