Yes you are ^^ ------------ Addidtion: The artist must sing in the native language or in English: That means: If a Latvian artists wants to participate in a German NS, the song must be in English or German Funny, but you won't find any foreign artist that will sing in Latvian P.S. Anyways I think this rule isn't fair... Aren't there enough artists in Germany, France or UK, that you'd need to use artists from other countries?? Sure, but you have to see that also a NS has to be held (Recap!) , and I don't think many will do one ^^

Sure, but you have to see that also a NS has to be held (Recap!) , and I don't think many will do one ^^ I think they will if there's such an opportunity... But I'm against that someone would use Latvian artists (because many of them sing in english and some sing in french or russian too). That means for me there would be smaller chance to select some latvian artists, because some of them would be already used in other NS's... There aren't so many artists in Latvia that publish their songs on YT or anywhere else on the internet... I think if you use this rule, then you should allow taking artists only from big countries, that have many of them... But anyways I don't support this rule at all...

I agree...artists that made a career in other countries are ok with me...like a few Kpop artists in Japan but actually can U imagine USA entering with Hungarian, Latvian artists I think some of them doesn't even know these are countries at all...

I don't want this rule. I've the United States in this contest and I try to send original songs for this country and I've a feeling that works if I look to my results, but it's a popular country in contests and if everyone would try to send artists from the United States then I don't have a feeling that it's my country anymore. It minimizes my area of entries by the way. So I personally hope this rule will be deleted because I don't see the sense of this rule.

It's never good enough for anyone, duh.
Option: Raise the bar to 1 foreign artist per National Selection, only if it has more than 5 songs, exclusive the foreign entry. To be only in native language for that country or English. (Additions possible for me: no)
The sense of this rule, is that some low-music industries in some countries, provide not many artists, so you have to look really good, or have the option to foreign artists.

I agree with Kazucchi on the fact that artists who have released albums in the country and done career there can represent the country, such as Yohio for Japan or Ladies' Code for Japan. Although we would need to define what a career in the country is, because you know artists from USA release their albums as different versions in UK, Germany, Sweden etc... So in case we took it like that, they could ALSO represent those countries, which wouldn't make sense though. I say that if we include this rule, over 75% have to be from the country, not 50%.

Thanks for the Feedback! The rule won't be at IMF any longer, due to (good) reasons many said here!
