Well no. They will still have to active without a reasonable excuse. Like on holiday or exams. The rules state that as a Waiting List user you have to be online at least once a month and post something related to NVSC once a month, so if I log in on the 3rd of January and post "great songs" in a NS thread and then log off until the 3rd of February to do the exact same thing, I can't be kicked out off the Waiting List since I'm following the rules or am I missing something? I guess you could do that. I probably would ask questions and put a prediction or something like that. But I guess you're very active so I guess it's not likely you'll get kicked off.

Well, it is logical a bit. If someone is really interested in taking part in NVSC, then he or she wouldn't need Tufkai's tag in order to see Jens' post. Besides, there are people that didn't post on the forum since last year anywhere, but regularly come online, just not to be deleted. That isn't quite fair. I mean, in one year I had never been tagged anywhere in this board, and I don't remember ever posting anything in that whole year either. So how was I supposed to know that now, suddenly, out of nowhere I need to demonstrate my interest to this?

Maybe if you ask to vote as part of The Rest Of The World then that could be some of your monthly posts. Besides your kinda doing your monthly posts right now.

No offense but if you don't follow the contest in over a whole year you shouldn't be surprised that we question people's interest besides that, users can always ask to be added to the taglist as associate broadcasters

I guess this is a way for the contest to gain posts (not that it has enough already), and to gain more popularity. I hope that this post show that i am interested enough and i can be kept on the waiting list A question: when does the month start till the waiting list is updated another question: will we get tagged in reminders to show that we are interested Okay to be fair, I need to explain this because I proposed this idea (not the NVSC part but to post regularly) and I don't want the council to receive backlash: I got this idea when I saw certain people on the list who meet the logging in requirements but haven't posted anything in literally months, it has got nothing to do with the amount of posts or something. I guess it's not too hard to understand that we (and with we I don't only mean the council but probably most players) don't want inactive people to join, who come here twice per edition and confirm last minute every time, so no need to be so passive-aggressive about it. In the end the contest lives from its activity and it's surely not too much to ask to post once in a while. I personally also perceive it as rather normal than weird to follow a contest you're waiting for to join Well to not expect backlash was very naive and hopefully. There was nothing in my post passive-aggressive I was just trying to make understanding and light of it (I have bold where i was trying to make light of it). You don't need to explain it as it is writing very clear in the post. Try not to be defensive when people who are interested in the contest have an opinion on it and express it

I don't believe anybody is being attacked for not already showing the new rules of interest per se, seeing as they are of course new rules. I'm sure that you're still interested, but all that needs to be done now is to post one's interest rather than keep it to themselves

But if I forget to post something on NVSC for one month I'm out, because I didn't follow the rules, and I don't know if I'm alone on this, but with stuff like school or uni and participating in other contests and for some people, hosting their own contest, something like that is possible.

Try not to be defensive when people who are interested in the contest have an opinion on it and express it well since most of the new rules were my idea I of course have the need to justify them when (heavy) criticism arises and I honestly didn't expect a huge backlash because it's not like these rules create a huge problem for most users. And since it was my idea, I just wanted to clarify that it isn't a way for the council to get more posts or anything lol

I expect a return of Dua Lipa in the next forum charts considering how much you talk about new Rules
