I think a similar rule should also apply for the actual participants who don’t post anything except the confirmation post and/or their entry, most of the time some hours before the deadline.

Hi, my name is Greg and Northvision is a great song contest...
...See you in January!
*Also I guess Turkey won't be able to join Eurovision in the future because they're not showing monthly interest about Lisbon 2018
(I post or talk or do NVSC-related things if I am tagged or encouraged to do so. For example, I voted in fabbi's Israel song Selection for last edition. But my interaction with this was completely done through a PM, so I guess I'd still be axed from the list.
Thing is: you guys aren't trying to engage anyone who's on the waiting list. For example I'm never tagged when there's a Grand Final, or a semifinal, etc., but I'd totally engage if I knew about them! If this rule is implemented, what I would hope for in return from the current council, from which this rule originated, is some community outreach and engagement with the members of the waiting list.)

Can you ask for an associate broadcaster from anywhere on the WL? I'm down in the 80s, but it'd be nice to be aware of all the NF and stuff instead of just seeing when I really have the time to dig around in those threads.

As far as I know, it's enough to send a message to the NBU council asking them for the associate broadcaster you want to have. Still, there are some countries which already have broadcasters ( forum.songcontests.eu/board/205/nvsc-associate-broadcasters).

No problem, I will start posting. It's a good rule, it ensures to involve less people with bigger interest in the contest

I like the new rules. Now I finally have a tiny chance to actually participate in the contest one day

Yay there's now finally the chance of the waiting list getting a bit smaller.
