FOREIGNER FINAL ACTS01.   Cinta Laura Cinta Laura is a Indonesian actress, electropop singer and model, born in Germany to a German father and an Indonesian mother. She is 20 years old.
She spent most of her childhood moving around the world, played in several movies including an Indonesian version of Cinderella.
Her first studio album was released in 2010, her second in 2013. She won several awards, including in the Indonesia Kids Choice Awards 2008 and 2010.
Now her next goal is to represent  Sweden in North Vision Song Contest. The first step is to win the Foreigner Final, with the song "Boomerang".02.  Svetlana Bogdanova Svetlana Bogdanova is a Moldovan pop and jazz singer and lead singer of a the band "Solar". Her idols are Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Diana Krall and Dianne Reeves.
She participated in the Moldovan national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 and has already reached Sweden's charts with "Conquer My Heart".
"Conquer My Heart" is also the song, she is going to perform in the Foreigner Final. The song was written by a Swedish producing team.03.  Erin Erin Anttila, simply known as Erin, is a Finnish pop singer who rose to fame with the pop group Nylon Beat.
She's 36 years old and of Irish descent.
She participated with her group Nylon Beat in the Finnish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1998 and 2000.
Her first solo album Hunningolla (2011) received 2x Platinum and her current album "Sä osaat!" 1x Platinum in Finland.
Erin also represented Finland in the North Vision Song Contest 4 in Sweden, ending up 14th in her semi-final.
Erin loves Sweden as a country and is willing to represent them. Therefore she applied in the Foreigner Final with her song "Ei Se Siitä".04.  Javiera Mena Javiera Mena is a Chilean electropop-indie singer. She is 30 years old and already began performing live at the age of 17.
She studied musical composition and musical arrangement and later was part of the Electropop duet Prissa.
Her debut album Esquemas Juveniles was released in 2006 and her revamped version of "Luz De Piedra De Luna", released in 2012 has been number-one in Sweden's single charts for 5 weeks, therefore she has a quite known status in Sweden.
And since Chile is not able to participate in NVSC, she would love to represent Sweden in NVSC, with her song "Espada", which has also peaked #30 in Sweden's single charts.05.   Lena Chamamyan Lena Chamamyan is an Syrian classic and jazz singer of Armenian descent.
She studied in a conservatory in Aleppo and later worked together with  Italian and  Dutch artists.
Her debut album Hal Asmar Ellon was released in 2006.
After  Lebanon won NVSC, she believes Arabic songs have good chances to win. Syria has not been accepted to participate in NVSC yet, so she wants to try for Sweden with her song "Cha'am" in the Ephemeral Mists Mix.06.  Pectus Pectus is a pop-rock group from Poland. The group was founded in 2005 and their first promo album was released in 2007.
They have also been a finalist at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole 2007 in the category Debuts.
Pectus are singing in Polish only.
They have applied in the Foreigner Final to participate for Sweden with their song "Jeden Moment".07.  East of Ely East of Ely is an indie pop group from Australia formed in 2013. To date, they are rather unknown in their home country Australia, neither anywhere else.
As they want to share their music with people from all over the world, they applied in the Swedish national selection with their debut single "Easy Friend".08.  Michal Amdursky Michal Amdursky is a 38-year-old Israeli pop singer and dancer.
She already began to dance at the age of 6. At age 15, she moved to  Budapest, where she studied Classical Dance, later she returned to Israel. In 2000, she participated at the Israeli national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
After it has been quite quiet the last years, she wants to come back and tries to represent Sweden in NVSC with her song "Rock Stam."09.  Amy Pearson Amy Pearson is a British singer-songwriter. She's 28 years old and her debut album, Who I Am, was released in 2008.
In 2004, she moved to Australia and signed to SonyBMG. In 2006, she recorded a song with the first Australian Idol winner, Guy Sebastian.
Amy Pearson has also worked on Demi Lovato's third album Unbroken.
She wants to fly the Swedish flag in NVSC, but first has to survive the Foreigner Final with her song "Tell Me".10.  Ceej Ceej is an 18 year old singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles. She has been writing and playing guitar since the age of 12, playing piano since the age of 4 and is currently learning how to play the ukelele!
After getting discovered on YouTube, she signed the company Del-Fi Music Group.
"Hurricane" - that's the song called, that she is going to sing in the Foreigner Final.11.  Sandu Ciorba Sandu Ciorba is a Romanian traditional, folk and Manele singer.
He is signed to Viper Productions, where he already produced tons of songs. He got famous for his song "Pe Cimpoi" due its fun factor, peaking #27 in the Swedish single charts and still being currently in.
"Pe Cimpoi" is also the song Sandu will sing with his funky girls, which promises a lot of fun and joy.12.  Karuss Karuss is a Russian indie-synthpop project by Alexey Vasin.
From 1998 to 2006 Alexey worked in different bands as a keyboard player, back vocalist and songwriter. All those bands were focused on russian audience mostly. But since 2012 Karuss is recording songs in English language. So Alexey promotes his music for the European, US and Australian market as well as for Russia.
The song, that Karuss will try to represent Swedish with, is called "It's Worth A Try".13. Summery Mind Summery Mind is a German alternative rock band formed in 2006.
In 2008, they began to record their songs professionally in a studio and released their first EP, while they released their first album in 2011.
They are currently rather unknown in Germany, having 20.000 clicks on their Foreigner Final entry.
Summery Mind will perform the ballad "May" in the Foreigner Final.14. Mind Vortex Mind Vortex is a British electronic duo signed to Ram Records.
Their debut single Now it’s Time and Hotbox went straight in at number 1 in the BBC 1xtra’s DnB Chart. The singles received widespread radio support.
Their other release "Alive" has already peaked #15 in the Swedish single charts.
That was the reason why Mind Vortex applied to represent Sweden in NVSC, with their song "Alive".15.  Delerium ft. Kreesha Turner  Delerium is a Canadian musical group formed in 1987.
Throughout the band’s history, their musical style has encompassed a broad range, including dark ethereal ambient trance, voiceless industrial soundscapes, and electronic pop music. They are best known for their worldwide hit "Silence", which features vocals from Sarah McLachlan.
Kreesha Turner is a Canadian platinum selling recording artist singer-songwriter and model. She is currently signed to EMI Music Canada/Capitol Records. She has achieved many success in her native Canadian market. Her single, "Don't Call Me Baby" was the #1 most played song (by a Canadian) on Canadian radio in 2008. She has been featured on multiple major Canadian magazine covers and starred in a national Kit Kat campaign.
Her music has been featured on major network television shows such as, "Desperate Housewives", "Ugly Betty", "Gossip Girl" and "Keeping Up With the Kardashians".
Together, Delerium and Kreesha Turner collaborate and submitted the song "Dust In Gravity" to the Foreigner Final in the hope to represent Sweden in North Vision Song Contest 7. |
