SVT opens submissions for Fantasifestivalen 09!SVT has just opened the submissions for Fantasifestivalen 09!
What does that mean?EVERYONE will be able to "submit* songs" to me Requirements:• Song submissions only via PM.
• The artist(s) have to be Swedish but also can be born in Sweden, have lived in Sweden or be of Swedish descent.
(While "famous Americans" etc. are not able to enter.)
• You can submit as many entries as you want.
• Any kind of "Swedish song" is allowed, except covers/samples/parodies, songs released before 2000 or singers under 16.
You can submit 'overused' songs, Melodifestivalen songs, pop songs, rock songs, ballads, hip hop songs, 2 minute songs, 7 minute songs, songs by famous artists, songs by unknown artists, singers in the age of 16, singers in the age of 80.
Nothing does matter, except the 3 underlined things above 
• If you submit more than 5 entries, please do not use [youtube][/youtube].
• You can submit more than one song per artist.So, I hope to receive many submissions - maybe we can manage to have more than Melodifestivalen?  (2628 submissions in 2014 )
I will of course "submit" songs as well. In the end only 32 songs will become chosen.

* submit =/= suggest; "submit" means it automatically gets into the list of submissions for Fantasifestivalen. Later SVT (me) will listen to all submitted songs and will choose 32.

Fantasifestivalen - One step from paradise closer to Melodifestivalen!Today, SVT has revealed an official general schedule to take place each edition, as well as the schedule for Fantasifestivalen 08.
It shows that Fantasifestivalen gets one step closer to Melodifestivalen, as the second rounds of each semi-final/Andra Chansen will be a new voting-open round, instead an 'extra' round that was based on the results of Round 1.
One edition of Fantasifestivalen will last more than 35 days. GENERAL SCHEDULE

Returning artist in Fantasifestivalen 09?Today, 29 April, several fan sites reported that a former  Swedish NVSC participant has confirmed to return in Fantasifestivalen 09, although there wasn't any site to give specific information about the artist. SVT has not given any information whether it's true or not, also all the articles have been suddenly removed.Luckily, a NVSC fan has quickly taken a screenshot when the article was still available. (in Swedish)  |

BREAKING NEWSAgnes Carlsson forced to change FF song!Today it was reported, that Agnes Carlsson was forced to change her Fantasifestivalen song due her actual song "Instant Repeater" being a cover.
Agnes Carlsson has not given any statement yet, their management reacted quickly and announced her new song.Carlsson was actually drawn to perform "Instant Repeater" 8th in the third semi-final but will now sing "Got Me Good" instead. |

Please do not read if you do not know the Swedish representative for North Vision Song Contest 9 yet.One chorus in Greek!The official video for the winning song "Set Your Heart On Me" by Helena Paparizou went online in the night after her victory. It features the official version of the song, which she'll be performing in Oslo, Norway.
In this new version the last chorus is sung in Greek.
"Singing a part of this song in Greek makes me feel even more comfortable and connected to this song, it's now like my home. My heart is beating in Greece as much as in Sweden, so we decided to add this language as it's a very beautiful one that you don't hear every day unless you are Greek. We decided to change nothing else in this version.

I still can not really believe what has really happened.. I've tried my luck very often already but in the end it was not enough - no reference to my FF song haha - and yeah, that's why I can really not believe that my dream came finally true and now I'm just looking very much forward to Oslo!

SVT REVEALS PLANS ABOUT THEIR #13 ENTRANT AND THE FUTURE OF FANTASIFESTIVALEN 7 March.
On a meeting of the production team, the upcoming plans for the Northvision stage, as well as for the next edition of Fantasifestivalen were discussed.
Later, on a press conference including the winners, Stockholm Syndrome, these details were announced.
"We are going to revamp "Kalabalik", the winning entry. We will not only cut it down to 3 minutes, due to the Northvision rules, but apart from that it's not 100% going to be the same. Furthermore, a few parts will need to become censored.
About the staging, we can already reveal, that Stockholm Syndrome will be in Tel Aviv joined by 3 male dancers on stage, who will as well be singing the "Kalabalik" parts and one female backing vocalist. It is unknown yet, who it is going to be. The performance is going to be astonishing to watch. It is going to explode like a bomb." - Head of Production, Jan Simonis, revealed.
Rumours claim that Alex Jafarzadeh and former representative Alvaro Estrella will be among the backing dancers.
Cornelia from Stockholm Syndrome explained: "We are SO happy that we made it, we've got no words left to describe how we feel right now. It really means something special to us, especially because we've not expected it at all! Now we are just focussing on Northvision and looking forward to Israel! [...] When the jury voting was on, we stayed calm because obviously in the end we would have been more sad if we hadn't won. But when Sanna announced the televotes, I couldn't stop screaming while Charly Q was so shocked, she seemed frozen."
Charly Q added: "At the moment, we're - as Cornelia said - focussing on Northvision and not able to predict yet whether we would enter the Fantasifestivalen stage again or not, but we will see what the future has in storage."
Later, the Head of Production, Jan Simonis, revealed SVT's plans for the following edition of Fantasifestivalen: "I can exclusively reveal, that the upcoming Fantasifestivalen edition will consist of 28 songs instead of the usual 32.
7 acts will compete in each semi-final, 2 from each will directly go to the final, 2 will move on to Andra Chansen and 3 songs will be leaving the stage after the semi-final.
The Andra Chansen format will consist of 4 duels, there will be one winner in each duel qualifying for the final.
The Final will then be made up of 12 entries.
The televoting format is going to have a little change too.
All acts have already been chosen and the rehearsals for the first semi-final will kick off on March 20.
I want to reveal a little secret now. Two former NVSC participants try to enter the Northvision stage once again."
