Religion is a nasty thing at times, I'm not gay but most of my extended family are devout Christians and would probably be horrified at the revelation. Grace I can see where you're coming from in terms of financial stability but it's really sad to think your family wouldn't stick by your side. They're supposed to be the people that catch you when you fall, not leave a big, gaping hole in your life. Good luck (when and if) you tell them; if you need anyone to talk to, I'm always down to listening and helping you - I wouldn't not help out a fellow  Kiwi  |

I came out sometime in November of my asexuality to my other online friends, and they were really accepting.  It seemed like I was scared about nothing when coming out online, seeing as half of the people I talk to online aren't hetero anyway  It was a much harder job for me coming out in real life, and I did that in December, just towards Christmas. I told my closest friends first, and they said they would support me either way as well. However, coming out to every other friend was kinda hard because: 1) Most of them are straight, and to be a definite minority kinda scares me  2) They don't even know what asexual means So on the last day, I just decided to blurt out "I'm asexual" whenever someone was talking about relationships or sex to me. Of course, being the lil' dumb people they are, they asked me what it meant. I just replied "I don't do... that." Most of them were accepting except from this camp bitch who goes around making people's days worse. Some of them bring my asexuality up to me out of the blue, many of them shocked that I'll probably die a virgin. Who cares, because my virginity is more important than swinging my thing out at someone (which is what seems to be the case today with almost everyone). I haven't came out to my parents, and I don't wish to until they ask me about relationships. I'm certainly not coming out to my mother's extended family, since they're kinda strict Catholics, while I'm non-religious. Oh yeah, I've been called The Virgin Mary around 10 times so far, jokingly. |

Who cares, because my virginity is more important than swinging my thing out at someone (which is what seems to be the case today with almost everyone). . You don't have to be asexual to be pretty sure about this thing.  |

It's the fact that they've brought it up, knowing that I have no sexual attraction, I'll presumably die a virgin. |

I'll meet a bisexual guy next Wednesday, I hope we'll bulid up a relationship  If he gets my boyfriend, I won't hide anymore, because he's like 21 and really good-looking so I dont think that many people would make fun of it, they'll probably be jealous lmao.
