ROMANIA TO WITHDRAW FROM EUROVISION 2016! The EBU has withdrawn member services from Romanian public service broadcaster Televiziunea Română (TVR) following the non-payment of debts totalling CHF 16 million.
TVR will now no longer be able to participate in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest and will lose access to other EBU member services including the Eurovision News and Sports News Exchanges, the right to broadcast specific sporting events, legal, technical and research expertise and lobbying services.
The Romanian act will be taken out from the running order of the second Semi-Final of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, which is to take place on 12 May, 2016. The order of performances of the other 18 acts will remain the same. |

If you know that you owe the EBU over 10 million EUROS, why do you still decide to participate in the contest, instead of doing what  Croatia and  Bosnia & Herzegovina has done?... I feel really sorry for Ovidou Anton, but TVR should have thought about this before... |

I feel sooooooo bad for Ovidiu Anton!! Such a shame!! One of the BEST entries too ... screw TVR I agree that they should've known this beforehand.

If I was a Romanian, I would be so embarrassed, especially if I was Ovidiu Anton. It's a shame because I liked his song. What adds salt to the wound even more is that TVR will be blocked from broadcasting the contest. Must be a great day to be a Romanian Eurovision fan.  |

WHY? He was in my top 10, I just refuse to remove him just like I did with  and  (And even  , call me weird) I'm so done, 3 of my top 10 songs already, like seriously, why? And regardless if I liked the song or not, just imagine how Ovidiu Anton feels right now, he had his dream coming true, he was already living it, and suddenly it just gets interrupted by something which isn't his fault at all. Doing this until now is just rude, they should maybe ban  next year, but not now that everything was already done, I mean, we're freaking half month to go, seriously, this is just sad and frustrating  A little edit: I just read Ovidiu tried to participate 4 times before without having any success, and now that he won the NS...omg I feel so sorry for him, it's just so cruel |

I feel.... like the whole sky fell on me...
Yesterday was one of the saddest days ever
I grew up watching Eurovision and it's just like my family, it's something I can't live without
I ve had so much enough of the government's bullshit and corruption
It make me feel so sad to see that we have came up to this point when corruption is truly rulling over our country
What adds insult to injury is seeing ppl reacting with "idc his song was bad" "romania is useless anyway" "they cant win so whatever" - this shit makes me sooooo angry
Put yourself in Ovidiu's pants - he has been trying to represent us since 2011 and now that he finally won the Selecţia Naţională, we get disqualified.... werewe to be him, idk if we could have reacted so beautifully and respectfully towards this.
And comments just like "his song is bad" does not help thx xoxo
Just wanyed to express my deeeeeeep sadness and disappointment in our government and this whole shit like situation.....
