 NTU proudly presents Ukraine's entry for North Vision Song Contest 18
IT'S YULIYA DUMANSKA FOR UKRAINE!
After giving out a couple of teaser details on their website, NTU finally reveals that  Yuliya Dumanska will sing for Ukraine in the eighteenth edition of the North Vision Song Contest. The 24-year old singer has participated twice in previous Ukrainian national selections and was near to represent Ukraine at the North Vision Song Contest 17 with Vitaly Kozlovsky but now she was finally given the opportunity. “I’m much honored to sing for my country at the North Vision stage. At first, I was disappointed hearing that the national selection was cancelled but when I got a call that I was shortlisted, I got very excited,” said Yuliya. She further narrates, “The selection was way more intense than the usual national selection but I literally cried when they announced that I will sing for Ukraine.” She will be singing the Ukrainian ballad, “Probach”, the first Ukrainian-language entry since NVSC 05.
Ukrainian Head of Delegation, Liev Artovsky stated, “It’s been a while since Ukraine sent a song in its native language and I think it’s about time that we do it again. This is actually a make or break entry for us. Being in the PQR for the first time puts double pressure on Yuliya but we’re very confident with her and her song. It’s simple but you can feel all emotions pour out. If she was able to win our hearts then she will definitely win the hearts of North fans as well with no doubt.” Ukraine was placed at the PQR after receiving their worst result last edition and is set to compete first with other PQR countries such as: Belarus, Croatia, Latvia, Monaco and Morocco.
