  SVT to change their plans!On a press conference earlier today held by SVT, it was announced that they would change their plans
for choosing their entry to the North Vision Song Contest #18.
Originally, Fantasifestivalen 18 was expected to be held, as usual with 4 semi-finals, one second chance round and one final.
The first semi-final kicked off - until the evening show was cancelled due to a bomb threat within the arena.
Although the threat was later declared false, SVT has now reacted on this and came to the decision
to change the way of determining their entry for  Brussels.
As released to the public, one final would now be held featuring 12 selected songs
including the two entries that would have qualified from the semi-final taken place earlier.
There will be no international juries due to this, instead the Swedish televoting will have full impact on the results.
This option was finally taken due to difficulties in reserving the respective venues caused by the delay of the shows.
The 12 entries shall be announced in the upcoming days.
