 DANISH PARTICIPATION CONFIRMED!
Copenhagen, Denmark ― A few minutes ago, it was confirmed by DR, the Danish broadcaster, that the country would be taking part in the upcoming twenty-first edition of the North Vision Song Contest. However, it was not revealed whether the entry will be selected through Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 16.
The Head of Delegation of the country reportedly said:
"There are no intentions to withdraw from the contest so far. The contest keeps growing popularity, not only among the Danish public, but also among the Danish singers and songwriters who keep on sending us their song. We have already received a handful of songs for a next national selection. However, no official submission period has started as the selection method hasn't been decided. There have been talks for a new national selection and format, so it's possible that Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will be cancelled."
The method of selection is expected to be announced next week. Stay tuned! |

RTV SLO TO WITHDRAW FROM THE NORTH VISION SONG CONTEST
After seven editions the slovenian Head of Delegation announced that he (+ his Co - HoD) and the broadcaster RTV SLO will withdraw from the competition. Several reasons were given:
• the budget of RTV SLO is too small
• the fear of not being able to host the contest, in case of a victory
• the HoD is too sexy for Slovenia
Rumours are saying the sexiest HoD is moving to  Kazakhstan.

  Latvia to be present in the upcoming contest !
After the country's qualification in the first Semi-Final of NVSC #20,
the country is confident to maintain the participation in the contest so far.
Therefore, LTV was proud to announce its intention to take part
in the 21th edition of the contest !
But this was not the only announcement from the broadcaster.
Latvijas Dziesma Festival will make its comeback for a 12th edition
in order to determine the next Latvian entry !
More information is meant to be revealed in the next days. |

WITHDRAWAL CONFIRMED
Algerian head of the delegation officialy confirmed country's withdrawal from the 21st edition. The decision came shortly after the results of the first semi-final where Algeria failed to qualify. Information about the return in 22nd edition were not providen at this date.

Iceland would be not taking part in the 21st edition of the contest. The main reason, that was given is the financial issues the broadcaster is facing. Another factor is the lack of interest, shown by the artists to participate in the contest for the Nordic country. Iceland's return is probably gonna happen in the 22nd edition, as then a new head of the delegation will run the country's participation.
